Animal Crossing: New Horizons on Switch has plenty of hair options for those who want to express themselves. With eight styles available in the beginning, and 16 more unlocking later on in the game, there’s a lot to choose from.
Unlike the past Animal Crossing titles, you don’t have to complete a personality test to determine your starting face and hair. You get to pick it yourself at the beginning, and you can make changes with a mirror in your home later. No need to go to a barber shop or anything like that.
When you first use the mirror to change your appearance, six more hairstyles will be made available. Other additional hairstyles unlock for Nook Miles or from talking to Harriet on Harv’s Island.

You can grab one of these hairstyles randomly per day once you have Harriet unlocked at Harv’s Island Plaza. Once she gives you the cut, you can access it whenever you want from a mirror.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons bedhead
After not playing for about a week, your character will emerge from their house with some serious bedhead. They’ll fix it back to normal quickly, but the option to change back to this cowlick-filled style will be an option at your mirror afterward.
