Leif, the gardening sloth, is a traveling merchant in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. He’ll show up with his cart of goods randomly, similarly to Kicks or Label.

Leif will sell you shrubs, which need to be grown similarly to trees. You’ll get a starter and once you plant it, the shrubs will grow in several days. He also sells flowers that are rare for your island. This means he’ll sell flowers that aren’t the flowers you started with, the flowers that show up on your Mystery Island Tours, or the flowers that are currently Nook’s Cranny.

Leif will also buy weeds for double the price.

The shrubs will all grow no matter the season, but the flowers on the shrubs bloom during different seasons in the year. Leif will always sell the shrub that’s in season currently, as well as another set of shrubs.

He sells the following:

  • White and Pink Azaleas (Spring)
  • Pink and Blue Hydrangeas (Likely Summer)
  • Yellow and Red Hibiscus (Likely Summer)
  • Orange and Yellow Tea Olives (Fall)
  • Pink and Red Camellias (Likely Winter)
  • Holly (Winter)

At this time, we’re unsure if there are any requirements to fulfill before Leif will start visiting your island.
