Now that diving has been introduced in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, players can equip Wet Suits to go swim in the ocean.

To get a Wet Suit, you’ll have to buy one from Nook’s Cranny for 3,000 Bells. You’ll find it in the glass case, by the tools. There are multiple designs of Wet Suits, so keep checking back each day if you don’t like your current options. You can also grab Wet Suits from the Nook Shopping app in the Special Goods section.

Once you get your Wet Suit, equip it. It’ll go right over your clothes. Then you can head over to the ocean and press A to dive right in. Once you’re in the water, you’ll be able to swim around fairly freely by pressing A more.

You can find sea creatures in the ocean by looking out for bubbling shadows. Once you see one, dive down by hitting Y, and your character will grab the creature. Just like fish, different sea creatures will appear depending on the time and season. If you find a Scallop, Pascal the red otter may show up, offering to trade you a reward in exchange for it.

To leave the water, just swim up to the sand on the beach. Your character will walk right out. You can then unequip your Wet Suit to change back into your normal look.
