During the fall, Animal Crossing: New Horizons players will notice red Maple Leaves flying about.
Just like Cherry Blossom Petals, these Maple Leaves are used to craft exclusive fall furniture. Northern Hemisphere players will see these leaves flying about from Nov. 16-26 and Southern Hemisphere players will see them from May 16-26.
During this time, you can also obtain DIY recipes that use these Maple Leaves from shooting down balloons with your Slingshot. Note that you will not be able to obtain these recipes outside of the given times. If you miss out on any recipes, you’ll have to time travel back to the right dates or get a friend to help you out.
Some of the recipes use Acorns and Pine Cones, which can be shaken out of trees during the fall.
