Ledecestrescire Wealth, Mysteries, and Artifacts locations map
There are 28 Wealth locations, 16 Mysteries, and 13 Artifacts in Ledecestrescire.
Ledecestrescire Wealth locations map
There are 28 Wealth locations in Rygjafylke, including Carbon Ingots, Gear, and Abilities. We’ve broken then up into regions based (roughly) on the closest settlement or named region.
Repton
Repton (“the hill for shouting”) is a bandit camp in the extreme northwest of the Ledecestrescire.
1 – Carbon Ingot
A little southwest of Repton, look for a bandit camp on a hill. Inside, fight the Goliath to collect this Carbon Ingot.
Tonnastadir
Tonnastadir is a bandit settlement. You’ll have to sneak-fight your way through here.
2 – Gear: Huntsman Helm
Look for the Secret Entrance in the south of Tonnastadir — the key is in the longhouse up the hill. Follow the tunnel down to find the Huntsman Helm helmet (part of a Way of the Wolf set).
3 – Ability: Raven Distraction
In the same room where you found the Huntsman Helm (above), duck through the crack in the wall to collect this Book of Knowledge and learn the Raven Distraction ability.
Cweornric
4 – Carbon Ingot
In the town of Cweornric, look for the mill with the big water wheel. Inside that building, kill the Skirmisher to collect this Carbon Ingot.
Venonis
Venonis (“happy selling place”) is a Roman ruins at a crossroads.
5 – Ability: Harpoon Impalement
Look for a Secret Entrance in the southwest of Venonis — it’s a ladder in the floor of a ruin due west from the Highpoint.
Follow the tunnel until you smash through a wall. Drop into the water, and grab a flaming oil jar when you climb back out. Use it to destroy the breakable wall. There, you can collect the Book of Knowledge for the Harpoon Impalement melee Ability.
6 – Carbon Ingot
Directly north of the Venonis Highpoint, climb into the ruins. Look for a stone block hanging above a patch of rough, destructable planking. Shoot the pulley to drop the stone, and drop through the hole you created. Move the rock-filled bookcase, and loot the chest in the next room for this Carbon Ingot.
7 – Gear: Hrafn Guard
(Quick note: We kept running into a level 90 Zealot over here, so be careful.)
On the east side of Venonis, look for the mostly intact Roman temple(?) with the blue bear skull banners. In the back, look for a hay wagon. Climb up to the roof, and use the ropes and zipline to climb up to a treehouse platform above that haywagon.
Read the note there to figure out how to get inside: Shoot through the iron bars toward the front door. Take out the guards inside, and smash through a weak wooden wall to find the Hrafn Guard Light Shield. Hrafn translates to “raven” (and is where we get the English word), which is fitting, since this is a Way of the Raven shield.
Ledecestre
8 – Carbon Ingot
From the harbon in Ledecestre, sail your longship south and launch a raid against the Glen Ford Camp. Loot the chest in a tent along the south side to find this Carbon Ingot.
Alcestre Monastery
9 & 10 – Cargo (Raid)
You’ll grab these two Cargo Wealth when you raid Alcestre Monastery. This is your tutorial to monastery raids, so you’ll be led right to them.
Offchurch
To reach the first three of the Wealth in Offchurch (“King Offa’s church”), you’ll near to clear out the soldiers, and make your way to the eponymous church in the middle-north of the settlement. Head inside and downstairs.
11 – Ability: Focus of the Nornir
When you get into the catacombs(?), watch along the right for a cobwebby crack in the wall. Squeeze through to collect the Book of Knowledge and pick up the Focus of the Nornir ranged Ability.
12 – Carbon Ingot
Back in the main room, look along the left side for a rock-filled bookcase to move. Pull it away from the wall, and crawl through the hole you reveal. Duck through another cobwebby crack to loot the chest and collect this Carbon Ingot.
13 – Gear: Fyrd Spear
Continue through the first room and take a right at the intersection. In the next room you come to, look for a destructable wall along your left. Shoot the oil jar in front of it to destroy the wall, and then continue into the flooded tunnel you reveal.
Dive through the hole in the floor to find another chest. Loot it to pick up the Fyrd Spear.
14 – Gear
The final piece of gear in Offchurch can only be picked up during a main story mission. You’ll have access to it during “The Kingmaker Saga” in the “Tilting the Balance” chapter.
15 – Carbon Ingot
In a small bandit camp southeast of Alcestre Monastery, look for the Murderer. Take them out, and loot this Carbon Ingot from their body. (You’ll end up killing them as part of the “A Skald’s Lament” World Event Mystery.)
Ledecestre
16 – Gear: Skadi’s Wrath
The Highpoint in Ledecestre is on a church. Sneak or fight your way into the church, and look for a blocked door along the south wall. Climb the nearby ladder, and smash through the wooden wall above the door. On the other side, follow the tunnel until you can loot the chest containing the Skadi’s Wrath light bow.
17 – Gear: Hidden Ones’ Gloves
In the northeast of Ledecestre, look for the large ruins. There’s a smaller, circular ruin nearby with a familiar symbol on the ground. From there, look back and the main ruins to find a suspended bag of rocks. Shoot it down to create a hole.
Drop inside to discover the Ratae Bureau. Follow the tunnel along until you loot the chest with the Hidden Ones’ Gloves (bracers) inside.
Sudwella Monastery
You’ll find the next four Wealth during your raid on Sudwella Monastery.
18 – Cargo (Raid)
The first Cargo is in the mill along the south side as you start your raid.
19 – Cargo (Raid)
The second Cargo is in the large church at the north end of Sudwella Monastery.
20 – Carbon Ingot
During your raid, watch for a Yeoman. He’ll be carrying a Carbon Ingot.
21 – Cargo (Raid)
Along the east side of Sudwella Monastery, look for a small chapel with a destructable door. Shoot the oil jar out front, and then follow the tunnel inside to this Cargo.
22 – Carbon Ingot
A bit northwest of Sudwella Monastery, look for this bandit camp. Inside, you’ll meet a Murderer carrying this Carbon Ingot.
23 – Carbon Ingot
To the northeast of Sudwella Monastery, you’ll find another bandit camp. Look for a Goliath inside carrying this Carbon Ingot.
Templebrough Fort
24 – Carbon Ingot
Sneak or fight your way into Templebrough Fort. Stick to the high walls and roofs as you head toward the middle of the fort. You’ll find a chest guarded by a pair of soldiers. Take them out and loot the chest for this Carbon Ingot.
25 – Ability: Piercing Shot
Look for an opening in the northern wall into the main structure of the fort. Shoot down the chandelier inside to take out several soldiers at once, and then clean up the rest. Collect the Book of Knowledge to learn the Piercing Shot ranged Ability.
26 – Carbon Ingot
Inside the courtyard in the southeast corner of the fort, look for a Pikeman carrying this Carbon Ingot.
27 – Carbon Ingot
Along the southern wall, look for an Arbalist (crossbowman) carrying this Carbon Ingot.
28 – Gear: Huntsman Cloak
Cross the bridges (or run through the swamp) to the tower at the very north edge of Templebrough Fort. Climb to the top, and shoot down the hanging stones. Climb down into the lower floor to find the Huntsman Cloak (part of the Way of the Wolf set).
Ledecestrescire Mysteries locations map
There are 16 Mystery locations in Rygjafylke, including World Events, Flyting, a Fly Agaric Hallucination Challenge, a Standing Stone, an Offering Altar, and a Cairn. We’ve broken then up into regions based (roughly) on the closest settlement or named region.
Repton
1 – World Event: The Old Guard
Note: This World Event looks like it’s in Snotinghamscire, but it counts toward Ledecestrescire’s mysteries.
Across the river to the northeast of Repton, there’s a small island called Woden’s Eye (“Odin’s Eye” — the Woden version of Odin is where we get the world Wednesday from) where you’ll meet Skari (technically, he’s on the even smaller island to the south). He’ll give you Skari’s House Key and tell you to check his house if you’re ever in Repton.
Skari’s house is immediately west of the giant oak tree in the center of town — it’s also the only one with a very obvious padlock on the door. Loot the inside, and then pick up the crate. You have to return this to him on his island. If you hit water deep enough to swim in, though, you’ll drop the crate and it’ll return to his house.
Use the flotsam on the south side of the island to reach him (or just steal a boat from the docks). Return his songs to complete “The Old Guard.”
2 – Flyting: Jungulf
Head to the docks on the north side of Repton to find Jungulf and his hype man.
Use these answers to beat him in flyting:
- O, to beat such a braggart will surely be fun.
- You’re a weakling, a milksop, a cadger, a louse.
- Your pride is appalling, and your rhyming is worse.
3 – World Event: Skal to your Wealth
Southwest of Repton, you’ll find an alchemist in his cabin. You’ll have to go collect some … bear testicles and fresh lichen for him.
The bear’s cave is just a couple hundred meters due west — you can see it from the alchemist’s cabin. The lichen is in the well right behind you — smash the cover, and drop down to collect it.
After you drink the Miraculous Wealth elixir, you’ll wake up in a cave in Grantebridgescire (you rube). Dive into the water to find a tunnel out, and return to the alchemist.
Cosintun
4 – Fly Agaric Hallucination Challenge
During this Hallucination Challenge, there’s no note to lead you, but there is a very helpful seal who will lead you to each gate — it’s the only one of the seals that moves around.
- Head through the gate to the north-northwest.
- Then the one due south.
- Then the one due east.
- Then the one to the north-northeast.
- Finally, the one to the west.
5 – Standing Stones:
When you reach this henge (probably Arbor Low?), use Odin’s Sight to look for a note from Brendan of Clonfert.
Start outside the ring and to the west. Use Odin’s Sight to see the pieces of the Brendan’s symbol. Your task is to stand somewhere so the symbol lines up. From the west, walk east toward the center of the henge until the symbol appears. You’ll earn a skill point.
Cweornric
6 – World Event: The White Lady of Tamworth
As you approach this “sultry” tower, you’ll hear a woman calling for help. Before you start stabbing, keep listening. It quickly becomes clear you’re about to get involved in something you really shouldn’t.
You’ll end up in a fight with Tarquin however you handle this. Once he yields, talk to the “imprisoned” woman in the tower, and she’ll ask you to stand guard. Interact with the spot in front of the door and wait a minute. Kill the next person who shows up, and Eivor will decide they’re done playing and leave. That will complete “The White Lady of Tamworth.”
Tamworth Fortress
7 – World Event: The Twit Saga, Part 1
You’ll come upon these two Norse Warriors near a cottage to the south of Tamworth Fortress. While they’re arguing, toss a torch onto the roof, and then return to talk to them.
While the fire’s burning, they’ll as you to head inside. Around back, look for a rock-filled bookcase to move. Follow their prompts to search the house (unsuccessfully), until you get back outside. Talk to them again (and scold them) to complete The Twit Saga, Part 1.
Cerneley Offering Altar
8 – World Event: Of Fist-Dances and Sweaty Oaths
You’ll find this small chapel in the north of Ledecestrescire. Talk to the shirtless man out front. If your Charisma is high enough from Flyting, you can try to bully past him. If it’s not, you’ll have to find a nearby clue.
Climb to the roof, and look for the treehouse platform behind the chapel. Read the note knifed to the tree trunk for the password. Talk to the shirtless, rhyming bouncer again to get inside.
Inside Ye Olde Fyte Clubbe, keep talking to him until you complete all three fistfights — we didn’t have any trouble at Power 40 — to become champion of the BBB and complete “Of Fist-Dances and Sweaty Oaths.”
9 – Offering Altar
When you approach the altar, you’ll see you need to make an offering of 3 x Hare’s Foot. Luckily, there are several Hunter Arrows here, and hares seem to gather on the hill to the north and in the woods to the south.
Stay crouched and quiet, and use Odin’s Sight constantly to find them. Not every hare drops a foot, so just keep at it.
When you collect three and offer them, you’ll complete Cerneley Offering Altar and earn a skill point.
Sudwella Monastary
10 – World Event: Ledecestrescire Sauce
Up to the northwest of Sudwella Monastary, you’ll meet a forlorn chef who’s trying to create a new sauce. He’ll ask you for an eel.
If you don’t have one, head to the dock to the east. Use Odin’s Sight to make sure there are fish around, and look for the eel-shaped one — just know that these eels are pretty stubby. You can also use the V-shaped wakes on the surface to target them. Aim just below the wake, and wait for your reticle to turn red.
Once you have one, head back to the chef and help him finish his sauce. After he tells you about his plans to head to Worcester, you’ll complete “Ledecestrescire Sauce.”
11 – Cairn
Create your stack of rocks at this Cairn to earn a skill point and complete this Mystery.
12 – World Event: Sisters of the Axe
As you approach this chapel, you’ll hear people talking inside. Try to door to discover you need a key (you have to do this to reveal the key with Odin’s Sight), and head around back. Use Odin’s Sight to find the key — it’s up the small rise to the east.
Use the key to head inside, and talk to the Abbess. She’ll tell you about her missing MacGuffin, er, crosier, and lead you to a nearby camp. Help the Abbess and her flock of nuns survive their ill-conceived assault. You’ll loot the crosier from one of the soldiers.
Follow them down to the river, and protect them from the wolves there. Cross the river, and talk to the Abbess again to complete “Sisters of the Axe.”
Ledecestre
13 – World Event: The Stink-Brew
Look for the tunnel on the northwest side of Ledecestre (you can skirt around the town to avoid suspicion — just watch out for the viper along the riverbank). In the tunnel, keep killing vipers and looting their corpses. Eventually, you’ll hear a woman shrieking about eggs.
Head to her cell(?), and talk to her. She only needs two Viper Eggs. Well, at first. Then she’ll ask for three, and then four. You’ll likely run out at some point, so head back out to the riverbank to find several more vipers (adders), and their eggs.
Talk to her after she performs her … ritual, and you’ll complete “The Stink-Brew.” She’ll also give you the Ledecestre Sewer Door Key that opens a nearby gate to some treasure.
14 – Animus Anomaly: Kildesbig
Just south of the Highpoint near Ravensthorpe, you’ll find this Animus Anomaly — it’s hard to miss since reality breaks around it — at Kildesbig (“a man named Kild’s town”).
When you explore the anomaly, you’ll switch to Layla and have a platforming puzzle to solve. Just keep redirecting the projectors and reflectors to build your path to the data packet.
Alcestre Monastery
15 – World Event: The Last Leaf of Fall
South of Alcestre Monastery, you’ll find a girl named Mae yelling at a tree. It doesn’t matter how you respond when you talk to her. After she explains her situation, you need to attack the tree and knock loose the leaf. When it falls, you’ll complete “The Last Leaf of Fall.”
16 – World Event: A Skald’s Lament
Southeast of Alcestre Monastery, you’ll talk to a couple by a tent near the river. When you talk to the guy, you’ll quickly learn that he’s problematically high, and he’ll sprint away from you.
Follow him southwest to a bandit camp, and kill everyone inside (including a Murderer with a Carbon Ingot). Talk to him again, and he’ll get sleepy. Pick him up, carry him back to his tent, and talk to his companion to complete “A Skald’s Lament.”
Ledecestrescire Artifacts locations map
There are 13 Artifacts in Ledecestrescire, including one Treasure Hoard Map, three Flying Papers, five Roman Artifacts, two Cursed Symbols, and one Rigsogur Fragment.
Repton
1 – Flying Paper: Norse Emblem Scheme (Front)
Look for the wooden watchtower on the west side of Repton. Follow the Flying Paper from the tower, across the tent-tops, to a tree, and finally to the crane along the river to collect the Norse Emblem Scheme (Front) tattoo design.
2 – Rigsogur Fragment
Head into the church on the south side of Repton to find a Secret Entrance — which is just a staircase in the floor. You’ll find this Rigsogur Fragment in the catacombs below the church.
3 – Roman Artifact
Southwest of Repton, look for these Roman ruins. About halfway up the wall next to a statue of a man, you’ll find a rock-filled bookcase to move so you can pick up this Roman Artifact.
Tonnastadir
4 – Cursed Symbol
East of Tonnastadir, look for this Cursed Symbol hanging on a pole above the half-horse altar.
Cweornric
5 – Roman Artifact
Just west of Cweornric, look for this Roman Artifact in some ruins. You’ll have to climb up a corner and smash through some crates to collect it.
Tamworth Fortress
6 – Flying Paper: Vegvisir Scheme (Arms)
In the restricted area around Tamworth Fortress, you’ll find this Flying Paper along a rocky ridge. Start by Leap of Faith-ing (Leaping of Faith?) into the leaf pile. You’ll have to chase it across tree branches and walls, and finish with a quick lift ride to collect the Vegvisir Scheme (Arms) tattoo design. (We struggled with this one a lot until we just skipped the walls and branches, and ran along the ground below it. Sprint to the lift and wait for the paper to arrive.)
Ledecestre
7 – Cursed Symbol
Look for the burned out cottage in the middle of this cursed area. The Cursed Symbol is inside — you’ll have to shoot around a partial wall to destroy it.
8 – Roman Artifact
When you reach these ruins, the artifact you’re after is underground. Climb up onto the platform in the center next to the Victoria (which is the Roman version of Nike) statue to find an oil jar. Toss it down onto the rubble to destroy it, and then go pick up this Roman Artifact.
9 – Flying Paper: Speki Symbol Scheme (Arms)
Inside the walls of Ledecestre, look for this Flying Paper on the roofs to the north. Chase it along the ropes and branches in town to pick up the Spei Symbol Scheme (Arms) tattoo design.
10 – Roman Artifact
Look for a Secret Entrance in the southeast of Ledecestre — this one is a destroyable floor in front of another Victoria(?) statue. Smash through, and follow the tunnel to the end to find this Roman Artifact.
Venonis
11 – Cursed Symbol
A little southwest of Venonis, look for the well in the center of this cursed area. Destroy the cover, and drop down inside to destroy this Cursed Symbol.
12 – Treasure Hoard Map
In the ruins of Venonis, look for the Secret Entrance (well, “secret”) along the river on the south side. Inside that tunnel, smash the crates and pots on the right of the dead end to find another small tunnel. Collect the Ledecestrescire Hoard Map from the sarcophagus in the next room.
13 – Roman Artifact
On the east side of Venonis, use the ladders to climb to the top of the huge pillars. There’s a Goliath up here, so be careful — if he grabs you, he’ll toss you off the platform and all the way down to the ground (which sucks). Also watch out for the snake(!). When all the deadly stuff is handled, pick up this Roman Artifact.
