In this Assassin’s Creed Valhalla guide, we’ll tell you how to Quick Save your game — and where the prompt is hidden.
How to Quick Save
The normal way to save your game is to go through the main menu, and select save, but you don’t always want to go through all those steps.
Luckily, there’s a Quick Save option. The problem is that it’s not obvious how to get to it.

Holding down on the D-pad on a controller or pressing G on your keyboard will up the Quick Action wheel. Here, you’ll be able to do things like meditate to pass time, equip a torch, put up your hood, or call your longship if you’re near water.
You’ll also have a prompt to Quick Save. This will save in the background. Being able to get to a save option quickly makes it easier to save often — in case you run into any polar bears which are unsurprisingly deadly, or wild boars, which are surprisingly deadly.
