Essexe Wealth, Mysteries, and Artifacts locations map
There are 23 Wealth locations, 12 Mysteries, and 12 Artifacts in Essexe.
Essexe Wealth locations map
There are 23 Wealth locations in Essexe, including Nickel Ingots, Cargo, Abilities, and Gear. We’ve broken them up into regions based (roughly) on the closest settlement or named region.
By this point in the game, you can purchase ingots from most shops, so we’ll show their locations on the map, but won’t walk you through collecting them. Once you build the Cartographer’s shop in Ravensthorpe, you can buy maps to all ingots as well. And since Cargo is always in Raid locations, we’ll let you collect those on your own as well.
1 - Gear: Galloglach Helm
At the south end of the Halstead Outpost, shoot down through the grate in the floor to hit the barrier blocking the door below. Circle around and enter to find a chest containing the Galloglach Helm gear.
5 - Ability: Harpoon Impalement
At the northeast side of the Sancta Helena’s Church, you’ll find a shelf among the purple flowers. Move it aside to find a room with a sarcophagus and a key. Grab the key, and then enter the sanctuary to open the locked door. Once inside, move the shelf beneath the ladder and use it to climb up to the next level. Use Odin’s Sight to highlight the red section on the ladder and shoot it down. Climb to the top floor to find the Harpoon Impalement Book of Knowledge.
9 - Gear: Hidden Ones’ Hood
In Colcestre, grab an explosive pot from underneath a tarp in the area north of the secret entrance. Walk the pot south, up the leaning tree, and throw it down at the breakable barrier to access the underground area. Once inside, progress until you come to a wide open area with Assassin’s banners on the wall. At the far end of the room, climb through the left window, drop down, and dive into the water. Turn right to find the Camulodunum Sewer Key, and then swim back to the area where you dropped down. Use the key on the door. Enter the room, look through the metal grate window, and shoot the door opposite to unbar it. Return to the hall. Climb through the window on the right side of the hall, drop down, and enter the newly unlocked room. Loot the Hidden Ones’ Hood gear from the chest.
13 - Gear: Galloglach Cape
At the Brentwood Outpost, use your Raven’s Sight to spot the key on the big guard near the boar cages. Kill him and loot his body to gain the Storage House Key. Walk to the one-room house immediately north of the boar cages and unlock the door. Open the chest within to loot the Galloglach Cape gear.
Belesduna Bandit Camp
17 - Book of Knowledge: Raven Distraction
At the north end of the Belesduna Bandit camp, find a building with a ruined building and a blocked inner door. Circle around to the bushes on the west side, break the wooden barrier and shoot the stopper on the door handle. Run into the building and open the door to find a chest containing the Raven Distraction Book of Knowledge.
Old Gravesham Bridge
18 - Gear: Spartan Shield
At the village to the north of Old Gravesham Bridge, find a barred house and use Odin’s Sight to spot two soldier’s sitting inside. In the open air area where a roof covers the ground, climb up and onto the lofted spot. Shoot out the breakable wooden barrier blocking access to the house and scramble through. Dispatch the two guards, grab an explosive pot, and carry it back to the north side of Old Gravesham Bridge. Set it by the breakable wall and shoot it. Enter the newly opened tunnel and use your torch to burn some cobwebs. Slide into the newly-revealed room and claim the Spartan Shield gear.
23 - Gear: Oaken Kite Shield
At the north end of Maeldun, near the synchronization tower, enter a long, wide building with a breakable wall. There are no explosive vases in site, but you will find multiple notes scattered around town about the explosives being locked up somewhere. Go to the building near the river that has two breakable wooden barriers built into the roof. Break in and hop down to find a treasure trove of explosive pots. Break the barrier blocking the door then carry a pot back to the breakable wall. Shoot it to uncover the Oaken Kite Shield.
Essexe Mysteries locations map
There are 12 Mystery locations in Essexe, including World Events, a Fly Agaric Hallucination Challenge, a Flyting, an Offering Stone, and a Treasure of Britain. We’ve broken them up into regions based (roughly) on the closest settlement or named region.
1 - Mystery: Fly Agaric
For this Fly Agaric Hallucination Challenge, the statues with beards should remain red while the statues without beards should turn blue. To open the gate, the pattern from left to right should be: blue, red, red, blue, blue, red. Change the proper braziers and exit through the activated gate to complete the Essexe Fly Agaric Mystery.
North of Agnitum Tower
2 - World Event: The Riddler
Immediately to the north of Mystery 3, find a man, The Riddler, standing beneath a tarp in the shadow of a large tree. Answer his three riddles — the answers, in order, are: a lock and key, bagpipes, and a storm — to complete “The Riddler” World Event (and hear Eivor make a Portal reference).
3 - Offering Altar: Walhdenu Altar
You’ll find this Offering Altar a little southwest of Halstead Outpost. To complete the offering, you’ll have to hand over 50 Iron Ore.
4 - World Event: Mother
Come upon a house with a grass roof, with four wolves waiting outside the door. Kill the wolves and climb up on the roof and collect the Pretty Blue Flowers. Open the door to find a man inside. Encourage him to move on to complete the “Mother” World Event.
5 - World Event: The Prodigy
This World Event is right at the foot of Agnitum Tower. After leap-of-faith-ing, find a group of musicians angry with a man called The Bishop of the Ruins. Speak with a man named Keith, then confront the Bishop of the Ruins. Beat him up, then assassinate (not clear if you’re actually assassinating him or just doing a knock-out blow?) to complete “The Prodigy” World Event.
6 - World Event: Devil’s Hole
Speak with the men standing outside the cave to the southeast of Agnitum Tower. Head inside the cave and speak to the man within, the Beastmaster. Fight him or help him to complete the Devil’s Hole World Event. If you help him, you will need to head back outside and assassinate the leader of the group, then return to and speak to the Beastmaster.
7 - Flyting: Lady Ellette of Colchester
Beneath the massive statue of a warrior in the northeast of Colcestre, talk to the Flyting Herald to begin a fly with Lady Ellette. To complete the Lady Ellette of Colchester Flyting, choose:
- For they put all who hear them to sleep.
- I’ll defeat you and banish all doubt.
- Lend a salve, for your words make me ill.
8 - Treasures of Britain: Old Cellar
Begin this trek where the marker location leads: at a cave mouth with stalactites and stalagmites for fangs. The path is linear, but long, and will lead you to a cellar with massive casques of wine. Use Odin’s Sight to highlight the glowing red spots and shoot them to empty the wine into the drain. You will need to move some nets out of the way, by highlighting and shooting their pulleys, in order to reach a few of the casques. This will cause the drain in the center of the room to rise, gifting you the Mysterious Horn Tablet and completing the Old Cellar Treasures of Britain challenge.
Near Turrim Larus Ruins
9 - World Event: Take Me a Husband
At a house to the south of the Essexe east coast dock, find woman, labelled Spinster, who will ask you to kidnap a man who lives nearby in a house surrounded by red flowers. Head up the hill and inland and find the man. Beat him a fight and bring him back to where you started, place him on the floor of the house and leave to complete the Take Me a Husband World Event.
South of Brentwood Outpost
10 - World Event: The Boar with the Golden Nose
At the marker, find a man, the Boarmaster, sitting near a large boar, Lady, with red paint in her fur. Follow the boar. She will lead you to smelly socks, and the Boarmaster will walk off. From there, follow Lady to three locations where valuables are buried. At the last, you will be ambushed. Defeat the enemies and find an item among the purple flowers to complete “The Boar with the Golden Nose” World Event.
West of Wulfaswic
11 - World Event: The Gleewoman
In the ruins midway between Epinga Forest and Wulfaswic, find a woman tied up. Untie her and she will begin following you around, speaking rhyming couplets. Speak to her and pay her the larger sum of money to complete The Gleewoman World Event.
12 - World Event: The Banshee
At the ruins to the west of Maeldun, you’ll find a man weeping over his wife. Speak to the Grieving Man, and then shoot the breakable boards on the wall above him. He will attack you. Defeat him, and loot his body to complete “The Banshee” World Event.
