Vinland Mysteries locations map

There are 7 Mystery locations in Vinland, including things like World Events, Cairns, Standing Stones, and a Legendary Animal. We’ve broken them up into regions based (roughly) on the closest settlement or named region.

Okonhsa:ke

1 - World Event: Flight of Fancy

At the map marker, you’ll find a turkey at the bottom of a cliff. Climb up the cliff and talk to his owner. Drop back down to the turkey and whistle to lead him around the cliff and back to his owner. Talk to the owner again to receive a Turkey Meal and complete the “Flight of Fancy” World Event.

2 - Legendary Animal: O Yan Do’ Ne

To the southeast of Okonhsa:ke, find a clearing with a massive moose called O Yan Do’ Ne. Aim for the weak spots on their legs and hope for the best. Beat the moose to gain some rations and leather for upgrading your gear and to complete the O Yan Do’ Ne Legendary Animal fight.

Ionhontsiiò:ke

3 - Cairn: Ionhontsiiò:ke

At the marker in southwest Vinland, find a grouping of stones at the top of a cliff. There are no tricks to this one. Just stack them horizontally from biggest to smallest to complete the Ionhontsiiò:ke Cairn.

Vithrloekr

4 - World Event: Ursine Takeover

At Vithrloekr, you’ll find a camp overrun by three bears. Kill them to collect the Vithrloekr Chest Key, which unlocks a small chest containing crafting materials in a nearby red tent. Climb up the cliff near the bear cage to find a Norse Man. Talk to him to complete the “Ursine Takeover” World Event.

Tionontaté:ken

5 - Standing Stones: Tionontaté:ken

Near the center of Vinland, to the northwest of a synchronization tower, you’ll find Brendan of Clonfert’s last (chronologically, at least) standing stone inscription. To solve the puzzle, move both shelves as far to the left as they will go, and then climb on top of the largest central stone to complete the Tionontaté:ken Standing Stones.

Nynofn

6 - World Event: A Dead Man’s Tale

Follow the World Event marker to find a corpse with a Bloody Diary entry next to him asking that he be carried back to Nynofn. Carry him back (carefully avoiding — or stopping to fight — the animals along your path) to complete the “A Dead Man’s Tale” World Event.

7 - World Event: Breaking Teeth, Not Hearts

At Nynofn, find a group of hunters by a campfire. Follow them into the woods and you will eventually be attacked by a cougar. Kill it to complete the “Breaking Teeth, Not Hearts” World Event.
