The overarching quest in chapter one of Baldur’s Gate 3 is to remove the parasite from your head. Several leads along the way will point to a druid named Halsin.
You’ll hear a lot about him throughout your journey, but his actual location isn’t clear. In fact, you won’t be able to find him in his druid form because he used his own magic to turn into a bear. One of the final clues you get about the missing man is that he’s been captured and placed somewhere inside the goblin camp.
In this Baldur’s Gate 3 guide, we’ll show you where to find the missing druid once you’ve entered the goblin camp.
Where to find Halsin
There are multiple ways to get into the goblin camp and the Shattered Sanctum where Halsin is located. The layout of the sanctum can be a bit confusing, but you can easily find where Halsin is by heading to the small area to the far east of the location (X:342, Y:33 on your minimap).
You’ve found the right door when you see several goblins hanging out near a crypt in front of a door with a pair of eyes surrounded by stars above it.
Beyond the door is the worg pens. Take the stairs down and to the right, and you’ll see some goblins harassing a bear. This creature is in fact, Halsin.
There are several ways to deal with this encounter, but one of the most dramatic and easiest to do is to stop the goblins. Doing so will make Halsin attack his cage, breaking it down and starting combat. Once the fighting begins, the druid will fight alongside you.
If you’re taking the combat route, you might want to split half your party up on the landing before the stairs prior to fighting. It’s a smart tactic for two reasons: First, one of the goblins in front of the cage will try to escape the room to call reinforcements. Second, several goblins are on the far west side of the room, and placing half of your party near them before combat will help you deal with them.
Finish the fight with Halsin alive, and you’ll save the druid.
To complete his quest, you’ll need to deal with the three enemy leaders inside the sanctum: Dror Gagzlin, Minthara, and Priestess Gut. Once all three have been put down, speak to Halsin again at the worg pens. He’ll return to the druid’s grove. Meet him back there to finish things up with him.
