Baldur’s Gate 3 guide: Save Arabella walkthrough

How to save the tiefling girl from the druids

Baldur’s Gate 3’s Druid Grove is full of people to talk to and quests to pick up. On your way into the Sacred Pool, you’ll pick up the “Save Arabella” quest.

In this Baldur’s Gate 3 guide, we’ll walk you through “Save Arabella.” We’ll help you find Arabella’s parents, point you to where Arabella is, walk you through the conversation to save her, and tell you about the reward you’ll get if (and it’s a big if) you’re successful.

Save Arabella quest walkthrough

The first time you approach the entrance to the Sacred Pool, you’ll witness a confrontation. Once the crowd clears, there will be a tiefling couple standing on the stairs.

Talk to Marricko and Locke

Talk to Marricko and Locke. They’ll tell you that the druids are holding their daughter Arabella for attempting to steal the sacred idol (which just so happens to be the exact quest you get from Mol during “Investigate the beach”). This will give you the “Save Arabella” quest.

Find Arabella

Follow the wall of the Sacred Pool around to the west until you reach the Stone Door. Head into the Emerald Grove. As you head down the stairs, the first thing you’ll see is Kagha and her snake threatening Arabella (with a druid named Rath watching).

Save Arabella

Approach to start (butt into) a conversation. After listening to some insults, you’ll have the option to use either Nature or Persuasion (Difficulty: 18) to intervene. An 18 is going to be super difficult to pull off, so prepare to fail. (If you have him, Gale has the best chance with his +3 to Nature.)

Return to Arabella’s Parents

If you fail, Arabella will attempt to escape and pay with her life. Kagha and your Journal will tell you to “Return to Arabella’s Parents.” Informing them of their loss will complete “Save Arabella.”

If you succeed, Kagha will let Arabella go. Return to her parents, and they’ll reward you with a Cherished Locket — an amulet that lets the wearer cast Dancing Lights as a cantrip. This also completes the “Save Arabella” quest.
