Inferno Cave in Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night is a lava-filled cavern deep below the main castle. It’s a dangerous trip through the cave, but your reward is the most useful Shard ability in the game.

Inferno Cave connects to Forbidden Underground Waterway and Secret Sorcery Lab.

Below, we’ve included a complete map of Inferno Cave with a few notes about the area.

Inferno Cave is true to its name. It’s a dangerous environment full of flame-based monsters, so it’s a difficult journey. Before you venture too deep, farm the Volcano Mortes you encounter until one drops some Flame Mail armor for you — it’s good against fire.

The boss in this area, Orobas, will give you the Invert Shard ability when you defeat it (him?). This ability lets you flip gravity so you can explore some of the hard to reach rooms you’ve had to skip before.

With this ability, one of your first stops should be Tower of Twin Dragons to retrieve the Aegis Plate — armor that lets you ignore spikes and other traps.
