Bowser’s Fury guide: Risky Whisker Island Cat Shine Shard locations

Risky Whisker Island is in the third batch of unlocked islands in Bowser’s Fury. It comprised of several platforms that fall if you stand on them for too long, and it’s filled with hidden Cat Shine Shards.

On Risky Whisker Island, the Super Leaf is the most useful item because it allows you to softly float down from your jumps as Tanooki Mario. If you’re collecting the Cat Shine Shards on your first visit to the island, consider fighting the paint Luigi first. Beating him will clear up the paint from below the platforms, eliminating any danger from falling.

The first Cat Shine Shard is floating in the air. You just have to jump on the elevated platform and then jump again to grab it.

The second Cat Shine Shard is seemingly floating above nothing, but there’s actually an invisible cloud platform under it. Jump to the shard and you’ll be safe.

The third Cat Shine Shard is above a staircase-like platform bunch. Climb up and grab it.

The fourth Cat Shine Shard is floating between two thin platforms. Carefully walk across one end and jump up to grab it.

The final Cat Shine Shard is floating on a single platform between two others. You’ll have to jump very carefully to grab it without falling.
