Boiling Bay is the scorching hot beaches along the volcano in Bugsnax.
Home to many tropical and also fiery Bugsnax, the critters here can be hard to catch, as they’re aggressive and some of them can’t be touched at all. You’ll need to use both the lava and the water around the map to catch the Bugsnax in Boiling Bay.
Boiling Bay is also home to a boss Bugsnak, the Mega Maki. This will only appear once you do Wiggle’s side quests.
Green Crapple (all day): Place the Snak Trap in the Green Crapple’s path.
Grapeskeeto (4 p.m. - 4 a.m.): Cover a nearby Bugsnak with Chocolate Sauce. The Grapeskeeto will go down to feed it, engorging itself. Scoop it up with your net. If you use Paletoss and Paletoss Grande to bait the Grapeskeeto, they will not be able to be frozen or else the Grapeskeeto will also freeze.
Golden Kweeble (all day): Place the Snak Trap on the Golden Kweeble’s path. If it hides in a nearby bush, move away from the bush and wait for it to come out and into the trap.
Greater Cocomite (all day): Use the Snak Grappler to hit a tree with the three line marks on it. When the coconut falls, drop it in lava. Set up the Snak Trap and bait the Greater Cocomite into it, as it will chase you.
Lesser Cocomite (all day): Use the Snak Grappler to hit a tree with the three line marks on it. When the coconut falls, drop it in lava. Set up the Snak Trap and bait the Lesser Cocomite into it, as it will chase you.
La Sodieux (all day): Set up the Snak Trap in the La Sodieux’s path.
Noodler (all day): Cover the Buggy Ball in Hot Sauce or Cheese Sauce and bait the Noodler to follow it into the ocean. Once the flames are out, trap it using the Snak Trap. A La Sodieux may also help extinguish the flames on the Noodler.
Paletoss (all day): Get a Paletoss Grande to follow you into lava. After it chases you, it will grow dizzy and split into two Paletoss. When they’re dizzy, you can grab them with your net.
Paletoss Grande (all day): Set up the Trip Shot on lava and fire it to trip a Paletoss Grande. Grab it with the net once it’s stunned.
Red Banopper (all day): Fire the Trip Shot across the Red Banopper’s path. Grab the Red Banopper with the net once it’s stunned.
Flamin’ Cheepoof (all day): Use the Buggy Ball covered in sauce to bait a La Sodieux into the lava cave. Once it’s in there, it’ll start spraying the Flamin’ Cheepoofs and Noodlers, which you can pick up with the net once they get hit.
Sherbie (all day): Place the Trip Shot in the nearby lava and fire it at the Sherbie to unfreeze and stun it. Pick it up with the net once it’s stunned.
Fruity Snackpod (all day): Use the net to grab it, since it won’t run away. If it’s out of reach, use the Snak Grappler.
Mini Maki (Mega Maki boss fight): Stun the Mega Maki by setting up the Trip Shot in its path. Once it hits the wire and falls apart, grab all the Mini Maki pieces with the net.
Mega Maki (Mega Maki boss fight): The Mega Maki is only catchable once all the Mini Maki pieces have been caught. Pick it up with the net once all the Mini Maki pieces are caught.
