Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War - Complete list of guns

The Cold War setting means old versions of fan-favorite weapons

Treyarch has revealed the newest Call of Duty multiplayer with Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War. While there are plenty of exciting new additions to the series coming in Black Ops Cold War, there’s also a whole new arsenal of weapons for players to try out.

As you may have guessed, this latest entry in the series is set in the Cold War and that means the game is limited to guns from around that era, as well. While that may sound like we’re getting an out-of-date arsenal, a few of the weapons may be more recognizable than players expect. In fact, series favorites like the M4, M16, and AK-47 have all made their way to Black Ops Cold War.

Ahead of Treyarch’s multiplayer reveal on Sept. 9, Polygon got some time to try out the multiplayer during a short demo. During that time, we checked out the arsenal and found every gun that was available during the demo. The complete list of weapons found in that demo is below.

We’ll continue to update this post as we get closer to launch and more weapons are revealed.

Assault Rifles

XM4 - Full-auto assault rifle. Reliable damage with improved fire rate. Fair weapon control when sustaining fire.

Krig 6 — Full-auto assault rifle. Improved damage and accuracy. Excellent weapon control with slightly faster reload speeds.

AK-47 — Full-auto assault rifle. High damage with marginally slower fire rate. Excellent stopping power for mid to short range encounters.

Sub Machine Guns

MP5 — Full-auto sub machine gun. Faster fire rate with low recoil. Good visibility and control while firing.

Type 821 — Full-auto sub machine gun. High damage with a slower fire rate and fair recoil. Improved handling speeds with more accurate hipfire spread.

AK-74u — Full-auto sub machine gun. Improved damage and range with reliable weapon control.

Tactical Rifles

M16 — 3-round burst tactical rifle. Excellent burst fire accuracy when aiming down sights, and high damage in short range encounters.

Type 63 — Semi-automatic tactical rifle. High damage and reliable accuracy with lower ammo capacity. Excellent visibility and control while firing.

Light Machine Guns

RPD — Full-auto ligh machine gun. Excellent handling speeds with less ammo capacity. Less recoil control when sustaining fire.

Stoner 63 — Full-auto light machine gun. Improved fire rate with a larger ammo capacity. Subdued recoil and good visibility while firing.

Sniper Rifles

LW3 - Tundra — Bolt-action sniper rifle. High damage with moderate sway. 1-shot kill to the head, upper-chest, shoulders.

Pelington 703 — Bold-action sniper rifle. Hand loaded with improved handling speeds and faster rechamber. 1-shot kill to the head or upper chest.

Pistols

1911 — Semi-auto pistol. Good accuracy with a modest ammo capacity. High damage in close range encounters.

Diamatti — 3-round burst pistol. Fast cyclic rate of fire with a short delay between bursts. Increased ammo capacity and slightly slower reloading speeds.

Shotguns

Hauer 77 — Pump-action shotgun. High damage with possible 1-shot kill in close quarters. Hand loaded with moderate rechamber speed.

Gallo SA12 — Semi-auto shotgun. Reliable damage and pellet spread. Moderate recoil and visibility when firing.

Launchers

Cigma 2 — Lock-on rocket launcher. Anti-vehicle weapon delivers devastating damage. Small ammo pool and slow handling speeds.
