On Wednesday, Treyarch revealed the mutliplayer for Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, and let players know some of the game’s brand new additions. The game features a slightly upgraded version of the Create-a-Class system from previous games, and that includes perks for players to mix and match.
Ahead of Treyarch’s multiplayer reveal on Sept. 9, Polygon got some time to try out the multiplayer during a short demo. During that time, we checked out the Create-a-Class feature and every perk that was available during the demo. None of the perks in the Black Ops Cold War demo were new to the series, some haven’t been in a Call of Duty game for a few years, and others received a few small changes this time around.
The complete list of perks found in that demo is below. We’ll continue to update this post as we get closer to launch and more perks are revealed.
Perk 1 slot
Engineer — Detect enemy equipment and Scorestreaks through walls. See enemy Scorestreaks on your minimap. Re-roll Care Packages.
Tactical Mask — Maximized resistance to Flashbang and Stun Grenade. Immune to gas.
Flak Jacket — Take less damage from enemy explosives and Molotov fires.
Perk 2 slot
Scavenger — Replenish ammo from fallen players.
Quartermaster — Recharge Equipment over 25 seconds.
Tracker — See imprint of enemy footsteps. Aim at enemies to reveal them on your team’s minimap.
Perk 3 slot
Cold Blooded — AI-controlled Scorestreaks will not target you. Player-controlled Scorestreaks will not highlight you. Show up cold on Thermal. Players in Vehicles won’t see your nameplate.
Ghost — Undetectable by enemy Spy Planes whenever you are moving, planting or defusing bombs, or controlling a Scorestreak.
Ninja — Sprint more quietly. Resistant to Field Mic.
