Call of Duty: Warzone’s zombies are moving even further into Verdansk

The walking dead have made it to the bank

The slow and steady infection of Call of Duty: Warzone’s map continues. In the game’s latest update, the zombies, which have been encroaching on Verdansk for the last several weeks, continued their march and made it all the way to the bank in the central-southern area of the map.

As with each previous undead advance, this one included a new briefing on the Call of Duty website, with an in-universe update on the zombies’ progress. While the previously infected areas like the Shipwreck, Prison Complex, and Verdansk Hospital seem to be cleared, the in-game commanding officers don’t seem to have a theory as to where the zombies are going or what their goal is.

As with the previous infection zones, players can head to these areas and take out the zombies within to earn extra cash and better weapons. Of course, you’ll need to be careful since you’ll have to take on other players as well as the zombies.

While it certainly seems like the zombie hordes will eventually make their way across the entire map, there’s no telling what might happen after that. Perhaps some new government team or task force will be called in to clean them out, or maybe we’ll end up with an entirely new and destroyed version of Verdansk after the zombies are bombed out of existence.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is set to get a big mid-season patch sometimes next week, which could also be the first time we learn about what else season 2 could hold for Warzone.
