Call of Duty is getting its own Among Us mode

Double Agent will let you help your friends or betray them

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is getting an additional game mode for its new season. The mode is called Double Agent and it’s based on some Among Us-style deception, as shown in the trailer released on Thursday.

Double Agent will feature 10 players, who are each assigned a random role. The most important players are the double agents, who are tasked with either eliminating their fellow players or planting and detonating bombs across the map. Most players will play as Operatives, who have to discover the double agents and keep themselves alive. Finally, there’s the Investigator, who will get special clues to help them determine the double agents and can put out Wanted Orders on players they suspect have betrayed their allies.

The mode will feature a variety of extra features, including weapons that players can collect throughout the early stages of a match, and certain extra tools for the double agents, to help give them a leg up on their targets. The mode will also heavily use voice chat to help players identify who among them seems the most suspicious.

Double Agent will be part of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War’s season 5 update, which is set to be released on Aug. 12.
