DC Comics's Cyber Monday sale perfect for catching up on old comics

If you buy something from a Polygon link, Vox Media may earn a commission. See our ethics statement.

Susana Polo is an entertainment editor at Polygon, specializing in pop culture and genre fare, with a primary expertise in comic books. Previously, she founded The Mary Sue.

DC Comics has announced its Cyber Monday deal: a blanket buy-one-get-one-free policy on virtually all of their digital comics.

From the news post on DCComics.com:

For one day only on November 30th, and exclusively on comiXology and ReadDCEntertainment.com, all e-books and periodicals over 90 days old will be available as buy one get one free of equal or lesser value.

The offer extends to single issues, graphic novel bundles as well as digital-first comics like DC Bombshells and Batman: Arkham Knight, as long as it came out at least 90 days ago.

Sounds like Cyber Monday will be a great time to catch up on any DC titles you may have missed in the past year, like The Sandman: Overture or Prez, or any of the new titles in its post-Convergence lineup, like Midnighter or Constantine: The Hellblazer. Or, you could always go back and read a bunch of Suicide Squad before it hits theaters.

Expect the sale to hit the internet on Comixology.com as well as DC's own, Comixology-linked digital comics shop, ReadDCEntertainment.com on November 30.

Update: Shoppers will have to enter the code "DCBOGO" at checkout to take advantage of the sale.
