Preview: Harley Quinn’s creator returns for her very ‘special’ holiday special

Jingle bells, Batman smells ... eh, you know the rest

Whenever Paul Dini gets a chance to write Harley Quinn, it’s a good time — after all, he co-created the character with Bruce Timm for Batman: The Animated Series. And that’s exactly what’s happening in the DC Rebirth Holiday Special.

The Suicide Squad blew their holiday party budget, so Harley’s had to fend for herself — and it looks like that means crashing the Justice League holiday party. Paul Dini is collaborating with artist Elsa Charretier for “A Very Harley Holiday,” just one of 11 stories from more than 20 creators in the 85-page anthology.

Courtesy of DC Comics, you can check out a four page preview of DC Rebirth Holiday Special below, which will hit shelves (and digital retailers) on Dec. 14 for the price of $9.99. Here’s the official synopsis:

It’s time to get into the holiday spirit! DC’s biggest and brightest heroes are here to celebrate the holidays. Don’t miss a Chanukah crisis for Huntress, a Flash family Christmas, Wonder Woman interrupting John Constantine’s hellblazing pagan party and more—including the return of Detective Chimp!
