Mass Effect: Discovery is Mass Effect: Andromeda’s first tie-in comic book, set in the years before Ryder and the rest of the Andromeda Initiative set sail for a galaxy unknown.
It’s also got some pretty sweet pulp-style variant covers.
Announced this February, Discovery follows Tiran Kandros, the leader of the Initiative militia on its Nexus flagship. Unusually for his species, he tells Ryder that he’d quit his life of military service until arriving in Andromeda. Discovery seems like it’ll be telling the story of how Kandros left the turian armed forces and came along with the Initiative.
At least, it looks like it’s telling the story of Kandros being assigned to investigate the the Initiative by turian forces, but I’ll just let you read these six preview pages, courtesy of Dark Horse Comics.
