Buzz for Netflix’s Stranger Things is becoming a year-round event. In addition to a Universal Studios’ Halloween Horror Nights attraction underway and a game by Telltale Games in the makes, Stranger Things fans can now add comic-book series to the list of offshoots to look forward in the near future.

Netflix is teaming up with Dark Horse comics — known for Hellboy, Tank Girl, and the tie-in Avatar: The Last Airbender and The Legend of Korra graphic novels — for a line of comics based on the hit show.

Dark Horse told Entertainment Weekly that this comic book partnership is a “multi-year publishing line” that will explore more of the Stranger Things world and characters.

The first series will focus on Will Byers (Noah Schnapp) and his time in the Upside Down. The series will be four issues long and written by Jody Houser, illustrated by Stefano Martino, inked by Keith Champagne, colored by Lauren Affe, and lettered by Nate Piekos.

Instead of taking place in the town of Hawkins, this first series will take readers deep into the Upside Down, giving fans a peek at what Will Byers did while in the alternate dimension.

Stranger Things #1 will release on Sept. 26., 2018.
