During Cyberpunk 2077’s “I Fought the Law” Side Job, you’ll meet Elizabeth and Jefferson Peralez, strap on a headset, and head into a braindance.
It’s probably been a while since you edited a BD, so in this Cyberpunk 2077 guide, we’ll walk you through this braindance, showing you everything scannable, including the few items that you must scan and some optional red herrings.
Watch the whole braindance in Playback Mode first
Before interacting with anything, watch the whole braindance first in Playback Mode — the first-person perspective of the netrunner whose brain you’re dancing around in.
This is our advice for every BD, because it familiarizes you with the events you’ll be investigating while filling up your Visual and Audio track timelines with bold sections — the places during which you can find scannable clues later.
Watch the braindance and look for clues
Restart the braindance, and you’ll have four bold sections of the Visual Layer to scan for clues, and two on the Audio layer.
There are four clues on the Visual layer. The first is at about 0:12.
The clue you’re looking for is Deputy Mayor Weldon Holt — he’ll walk into frame right in front of the guard you’re watching the BD through.
Around the 0:30 mark, look into the conference room. There’s a doorway to the left of the stage that a couple of aides walk through. You might have to get really close before this clue becomes scannable.
Fast forward to the 1:00 point, and look for the terminal next to the metal detector out in the hallway.
Overlapping with that one, your final Visual clue is the cyberpsycho himself.
There are two Audio clues to find in this Braindance.
The first is around 0:10 in the hallway outside of the conference room. Listen to the conversation between the mayor and the deputy mayor.
The final Audio clue is the “tune” the cyberpsycho is humming. You’ll hear it around 1:00 as he passes through the metal detector
Exit the braindance when ready.
At this point, you can exit the braindance to continue the Side Job.
