In the beginning of Cyberpunk 2077’s second act, your car gets destroyed (which starts the “Epistrophy” Side Job). With your vehicle totaled, you’ll be without a car for a while. While you can get around Night City on foot or by learning how to fast travel, driving a vehicle is often the best way to explore the sprawling metropolis.
In this Cyberpunk 2077 guide, we’ll show you how to get new cars and motorcycles at any time. Be prepared to have a hefty wallet.
How to get new cars and motorcycles in Cyberpunk 2077
Shortly after getting your car destroyed, you’ll have to find a way around Night City. Thankfully, if you’ve met fixers like Regina Jones, you won’t need to search long for a new car.
If you’re looking to get new cars before the beginning of the second act, you won’t be able to. Offers from fixers come in during the second act, once your car is destroyed. If you ended the prologue by deciding to leave your partner in the car or choosing to return them to their family, you’ll get a mission to call their mother at the start of the second act. This Side Job, “Heroes,” allows you to get a free motorcycle at the end.
To get new cars, to wait for your fixer sends a text message about vehicles they want to sell. In fact, any time you’re in the area of a fixer’s influence, you’ll receive more and more text messages about cars they have to offer. The cars all vary in price and design. Expect to pay well above 10,000 eurodollars for each vehicle.

The best way to expand your options for cars to choose from is to first try and take an unoccupied car from a parking lot and then drive around Night City. A good place to find a car you can take for free without the fear of getting in trouble is in the parking lot of Lizzie’s Bar. You can get into most of those cars without needing any special stats. You should also be able to take these without alerting the police.
Once you have a vehicle, drive around the various districts of Night City. If you know the fixer in that area, they will call and begin offering you cars. If you’re new to an area, eventually a fixer will contact you and periodically message you about new vehicles they have on offer.
Unlike other open-world games, you can’t simply take ownership of a car, even if you’re already driving it. There is no way to store and recall cars that you don’t own. The only way you can own a car — and summon it to your location at any time — is by purchasing it or receiving it as a gift or mission reward.

Once a fixer has offered you a car, that vehicle is registered in your Journal under the Rides tab. Tracking down the location of a vehicle is the same process as tracking a quest in the game: Select the car you’d like to purchase, and you can set a waypoint to the ride.
Once you find the ride and interact with it, you’ll get a prompt to purchase it. After buying a vehicle, you can call the car to your location at any time, jut like you would with any other vehicle you own.
