Red Dead Redemption 2 is releasing a little earlier than expected at Best Buy, GameStop and Walmart — you’ll be able to pick up your pre-ordered copy starting at 9 p.m. local time on Thursday, Oct. 25. But these retailers, and several more, are offering an even better deal on hardware to try to get you to buy the game for the Xbox One platform.

If you buy Red Dead Redemption 2 online right now from GameStop, Amazon, Newegg, Best Buy, or the Microsoft Store, you can save $100 on any Xbox One console purchase. This brings the price of the Xbox One X down to $399.99, and the Xbox One S down to $199.99. The deal is valid from Oct. 25 through Nov. 3.

GameStop

GameStop offers a variety of console bundles to choose between, including the new, white Xbox One X with Fallout 76. It’s possible that the bundle that you’re after may sell out before the promotion ends, but the base console should remain in stock if all other bundle options fall through.

The bundle offering for the Xbox One S is a bit more limited by comparison, but chances are pretty good that you can get a free game with your purchase.

All of the options listed above include a digital version of Red Dead Redemption 2, though if you’re looking for a physical copy bundled with your selection, GameStop has you covered.

Walmart

At $459, Walmart lets you craft the bundle of your choosing, all of which include Red Dead Redemption 2, an additional wired controller and a $5 Xbox gift card.

The Xbox One S bundles available at Walmart each include the 1TB console, Red Dead Redemption 2, a wired controller, a $5 Xbox gift card. Walmart currently offers bundles that come with Minecraft, Forza Horizon 4, PUBG, or NBA 2K19.

Best Buy

You can build a discounted Xbox One bundle that comes with Red Dead Redemption 2 over at Best Buy. If you’d rather do it in person when you pick up the game, you’ll be able to choose from your local store’s stock of consoles. The highlight of Best Buy’s bundle inventory is an Xbox One X that includes Shadow of the Tomb Raider.

Amazon

While it doesn’t offer the massive selection of bundles found at GameStop, Amazon is hosting the deal, which is good for $100 off an Xbox One S or Xbox One X with purchase of Red Dead Redemption 2: Keep in mind that in order to reap the savings, you need to add both the game and a console below to your cart.

eBay

eBay has introduced an Xbox One S bundle that includes NBA 2K19, Red Dead Redemption 2 and an extra controller for $269.

Newegg

Newegg has a handful of bundles and base model options available — all of which are $100 off. All of its bundles come with a digital code for Red Dead Redemption 2, so don’t be alarmed if you don’t see the game in the box when your shipment arrives.

Microsoft Store

Microsoft’s website offers a fairly robust selection of console bundles, many of which come with a free game, subscription trial, or a controller, if you’re looking to maximize what you get with this rare discount. Its landing page makes it easy to add everything you want to your order, and all buyers can save $10 on an extra wireless controller at checkout.

If you were looking for an excuse to round out your console collection and were going to buy Red Dead Redemption 2 anyway, $100 off the price of a console is likely the best deal you’re going to see on this hardware until Black Friday, and possibly even for the rest of the year.
