Nvidia’s new GeForce RTX 20-series graphics cards are the most powerful GPUs that money can buy. As such, they cost a bunch of cash, although (still plenty capable) previous-generation cards are finally seeing some discounts that make them a more affordable fit for PC gamers who don’t want to spend a lot.
The GeForce GTX 1070 Ti from EVGA is $150 off for a limited time at B&H Photo, and includes a free copy of Monster Hunter: World for Windows PC with purchase. This has been a very popular deal, so it’s backordered at B&H right now — you can still place an order, but the store expects that it will take 7-10 business days for more units to arrive in stock.
Selecting the right graphics card for your rig can be a difficult process, but speaking on the 1070 Ti, this GPU isn’t the best bet if you want to play in 4K resolution at a blisteringly high frame rate — you’ll need to spend over $1,199 on the RTX 2080 Ti to achieve anything in that ballpark. However, it’s a really good fit that can push fast frame rates for just about anything else at up to 1440p resolution, and will likely be a solid performer in the years to come for titles that promise to be visually demanding, like Cyberpunk 2077.
