Battlefield 5 launched in a confusing manner, with an extremely short single-player mode and a suite of multiplayer options that will expand in the next few months. Despite this awkward rollout, it’s also one of the best Battlefield games that DICE has ever created.
Target is currently selling the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions of Battlefield 5 for $29.99, but the sale is only running until tomorrow, Nov. 29. The PC version, sadly, is still selling for the standard price of $59.99, and the digital deluxe versions are still $79.99.
So this is a sale for the $59.99 version of Battlefield 5 on console, but not PC. It’s still a great price, and Battlefield 5 is almost certain to improve as patches add stability and new maps and modes are brought to the game. You can read about the full schedule for Battlefield 5 content if you’d like to know what to expect and when, but I can’t stress enough how much fun I’m having with the game in its current state.
If you were holding off due to the high price at launch, this is a good excuse to jump in and start enjoying an ambitious game that suffered from an unsteady launch.
