Microsoft’s weekly digital sale has some great deals this week for Xbox owners looking to catch up with the Battlefield or Assassin’s Creed franchises ahead of their upcoming new releases. The highlight of this sale is a $30 discount on Assassins Creed Origins, which is available on the Steam version as well.

GameStop PowerUp rewards members can save a little more this weekend during the retailer’s Pro Day sale. Today, Sept. 15 only, Pro and Elite Pro members have access to exclusive bundles and discounts. A new Xbox One purchase includes a $50 GameStop gift card and a PS4 Slim comes with a $20 discount on a yearly membership to PlayStation Plus. Games like God of War, Madden NFL 19 and Monster Hunter World are up to $35 off as well.

Finally, Shadow of the Tomb Raider just came out yesterday, but Green Man Gaming is already offering 25 percent off the final Lara Croft game on PC with code TRINITY.

  • In a Nintendo Direct presentation this week, we got a whole bunch of exciting news about upcoming games and Switch bundles, and more information about the upcoming Nintendo Online Service. Personally I’m most excited about the adorable new Pokémon Switch console and (finally!) Animal Crossing on Switch. Most of the games and hardware announced on Thursday are already available for pre-order at Amazon, GameStop and/or Best Buy.
  • The latest in the miniature retro console craze is the handheld NeoGeo arcade machine. It includes arcade games like Metal Slug, King of Fighters, and Fatal Fury and will be released on October 15. Pre-orders for the console and an accompanying gamepad are available at Amazon.
