If you’re a frequent Polygon reader, you might be used to our weekend deals column, which usually takes the form of a big list of the best sales in gaming available each week. While that’s useful if you’re just browsing, we know it can get overwhelming if you’re looking for a good discount on something specific.

So, we’re starting a new column to narrow things down a bit. Each week, I’ll pick out the single best deal in a few specific categories. I’ll also add a few lines about why it’s a good buy. Those categories can be changed or added to, so be sure to let me know if there’s something specific you want covered in future columns.

This week we’re starting with the basics: TVs, monitors, consoles, games and accessories.

Best TV deal: Vizio 65-inch P-series

A bunch of electronics manufacturers are running Super Bowl sales, which makes this week a great time to save a couple hundred bucks on a nicer TV. The best bang for your buck right now is Vizio’s deal on the 65-inch P-series, which we included in our roundup of best 4K TVs under $1,000. Best Buy is matching Black Friday pricing at $899.99, $300 off MSRP. The P-series comes with ultra bright colors and sharp contrast thanks to Dolby Vision HDR and a 27 ms input latency, which, while not the lowest in its price range, is perfectly playable in game mode.

Best monitor deal: 32-inch Acer Predator XB321HK

If you’ve invested in one of Nvidia’s new RTX graphics cards, a monitor with G-Sync technology is a necessity to get the most out of the powerful GPUs. Acer’s Predator series is one of the best options, and the XB321HK model is currently on sale for $868. Usually costing over $1,000, the 32-inch monitor is the only one of its size that has both G-Sync and full 4K resolution.

Best console deal: Xbox One X NBA 2K19 Bundle

Microsoft is currently offering $50 off all Xbox One bundles, which isn’t the best deal we’ve seen on the consoles, but still takes a nice chunk off the price tag. Walmart, though, is taking an additional $80 off the Xbox One X NBA 2K19 bundle, bringing it to below Black Friday pricing. Even if you’re not a huge fan of sports games, you could just sell or give away the NBA 2K19 download code, buy two full-priced games, and still pay less than you would for a standard Xbox One X console.

Best game deal: Resident Evil 2

Both Fanatical and Green Man Gaming are offering a 25 percent discount on a PC download of Resident Evil 2, bringing Capcom’s superb survival horror remake down to $45 for the Standard Edition and $52.49 for the Deluxe Edition. Green Man Gaming’s deal is only available to VIP members, while Fanatical’s can be accessed via our exclusive code, ZOMBIE25. That code also applies to any other game in the Resident Evil franchise, so you can get Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 7 for less than you’d normally pay for just one of those games.

Best accessory deal: Switch Pro Controller

The Switch Pro Controller is one of the most comfortable gamepads on the market, especially when you’re used to playing with Joy-Cons. Right now the controller is on sale at Amazon for $56.99. While not the all time lowest price we’ve seen, that’s $13 off MSRP of $69.99. Usually when the Switch Pro Controller goes on sale, the price only goes down to about $60, making this an especially good time to jump on it.
