LG’s OLED displays are some of the best 4K TVs on the market, with “perfect blacks” and “infinite contrast ratio.” They’re also some of the most expensive, with the priciest models costing upward of $7,000. After announcing some new TVs at this year’s CES, though, 2018 models are starting to see impressive discounts at both Amazon and Best Buy.
The LG C8, which Polygon called “a 4K TV for everybody” in our Black Friday TV guide, is the mid-range entry in LG’s high-end OLED series. Around Black Friday, the 55-inch model was on sale for around $1,700. It’s currently available for $1,359.99. The 65-inch model is down to $1,949.99.
A step below the C8 is the LG B8, which is down to $1,109.99 for the 55-inch model or $1,790 for the 65-inch (at Amazon only — it’s $50 more at Best Buy). On Black Friday they were around $1,500 and $2,200 respectively. The only big difference between the C8 and the B8 is the processor; the C8 uses a more powerful Alpha 9 Intelligence processor.
If you’re in the market for a 4K TV, this is just about the best display you can get for under $2,000.
