Plus, star deals from Fanatical’s spring sale

As we start transitioning into spring, a few retailers are running pretty good sitewide sales, presumably to make room for new 2019 inventory. Dell monitors, many of which utilize Nvidia’s G-Sync for lightning-fast gaming, are 17 percent off. Fanatical is discounting tons of PC games in a spring sale, and taking an extra 10 percent off with a discount code. We pulled out our top product from each of those sales, but they’re worth browsing if you’re in the market for a new monitor or are looking to add to your Steam library.

Also of note: an Elgato PC capture card and the lowest price we’ve seen on the PlayStation Classic yet. Read on for the very best deals in gaming this week.

As always if there’s a deal we missed or a category you’d like to see covered, let me know at @PolygonDeals on Twitter.

Best monitor deal: Dell S2417DG

Dell is currently offering 17 percent off all of its monitors with code SAVE17. There are a bunch of good options for gaming, but the most bang for your buck is probably on the Dell S2417DG monitor. It’s already on sale for $379.99 ($190 off MSRP) and with the code is dropped down to $315.39. The 24-inch QHD monitor has a refresh rate of 165 Hz and Nvidia G-Sync technology, for the fastest, smoothest gaming.

Best hardware deal: Elgato HD60 Pro

We recommended Elgato’s entry-level HD60 S capture card in our beginner’s guide to streaming, but if you want to broadcast big, open-world games like Anthem, you’ll want something with a little more power. The HD60 Pro is a step above the HD60 S and captures video in 1080p at 60 fps. It’s currently on sale at the discount site Woot for $119.99, which is $80 off MSRP and $50 lower than Amazon.

Best console deal: PlayStation Classic

Sony’s retro mini console was overpriced at $99.99, especially considering the mediocre game lineup, but prices have been dropping steadily since its launch last December. It’s been hovering around $40 since Walmart’s sale a few weeks ago. Today only, Newegg is bringing the PlayStation Classic down to $36.99, the lowest price we’ve seen yet.

Best video game deal: Okami HD

PC game key retailer Fanatical is running a huge spring sale, with new “star deals” highlighted each day. One of today’s star deals is the beautiful Okami HD, on sale for $8.99 (usually $19.99). The spring sale runs for two weeks, with new star deals launching every day. FANATICAL10 takes 10 percent off all orders, but unfortunately star deals aren’t eligible for that discount.
