The TCL 6-Series (R617/615) is our favorite 4K TV for gaming under $1,000. The high-contrast display outperforms every other TV in its price range, input latency is low even in HDR, and the built-in Roku streaming platform is super convenient.
After a disappointing Black Friday offering, the 6-series saw some pretty good sales around this year’s big sports events — the Super Bowl and March Madness. Now, (just in time to finish Game of Thrones?), it’s down to its lowest price yet at Amazon and Walmart.
The 55-inch R617 is on sale for $569.99 at Amazon and Walmart, which is $330 off its launch price. A larger 65-inch model is down to $794.99 at Amazon, the first time it’s been below $800. Best Buy sells its own exclusive R615 model, which is the exact same TV but with a standard IR remote. (The R617 comes with a fancier voice-control remote.) The 65-inch R615 is actually $5 more than the R617 at the moment, but the 55-inch model is down to $529.
