It’s an excellent display for gaming

LG’s OLED TVs have long been considered the gold standard in picture quality, though that usually comes with a price tag of a couple thousand bucks. But today, Wednesday, June 12, an excellent OLED display is on sale for just under $1,000 in a flash deal at B&H Photo.

B&H is selling the 2017 edition of LG C7 55-inch TV for $999.99, which is $2,000 lower than MSRP and around $450 cheaper than it is at Amazon. This model, B&H confirmed to our friends at The Verge, technically comes from LG’s commercial division, which sells directly to businesses. The only difference between this TV and the consumer model is the lack of Google Assistant.

Polygon listed 2018’s LG C8 as one of the best 4K TVs for gaming last year, but at $1,899.99 it’s definitely an investment. The C7 is a year older than the C8 but has nearly identical specs. (Consumer review site Rtings rated them as 8.8 and 8.9 respectively.)

The flash deal lasts until 11:59 p.m. ET on Wednesday, June 12, though given how rarely OLED TVs go on sale for under $1,000, it’s possible that B&H will sell out before midnight.
