Tech and gaming deals tend to carry the most weight on Prime Day, Amazon also offers tons of sometimes-overlooked deals — like free comics. With Prime Reading, a collection of over 1,000 books, comics, and magazines are free to read on a Kindle or tablet. As a Prime member, you can take advantage of access to your favorite heroes ranging from Batman to Captain Marvel.

Amazon also owns digital comics publisher Comixology, which is running its own sale leading up to San Diego Comic Con 2019. Image comics are buy-one-get-one free with the code IMAGE, there’s also a sale on starter Spider-Man comics and the Alita: Battle Angel manga series.

Any digital comics you pick up during Prime Day can be read either on Kindle or on the Comixology app. The new Kindle is on sale for $59.99, with the higher-resolution (and waterproof) Kindle Paperwhite on sale for $84.99. Both include three free months of the Kindle Unlimited subscription.

Of course, if you prefer reading physical books, Amazon’s discounting some of those today too. Use code PRIMEBOOK19 for $5 off a print book purchase of $15 or more.
