Amazon’s latest video game promotion is a BOGO deal, taking half off a select PlayStation 4 or Xbox One title when you buy another game from the selection. There’s a wide variety of games included in this sale, from beloved classics to some of the best new games of 2019. There are even some pre-orders thrown in (and a few Moleskine notebooks for some unknown reason).
Of note is No Man’s Sky, which is getting a huge new update later this week. It’s currently on sale for $26, which will drop down to $13 with this promotion. Some other standouts include Mortal Kombat 11, The Last of Us Remastered, God of War, and my favorite game so far this year, Resident Evil 2.
Amazon also included a few pre-orders in the promotion, most of them deluxe or premium editions. The premium “Hearts Desire” edition of Catherine: Full Body is eligible, as well as deluxe editions of both Madden NFL 20 and WWE 2K20. The standard editions of Sega’s Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz remaster and FromSoftware’s action RPG co-written by George R.R. Martin, Elden Ring, are both included.
Of course there are a few caveats. Some games that are available on both PS4 and Xbox One are only eligible for the promotion on one platform. Make sure that you see the “Extra Savings” label under the price before adding a game to your cart. And like most BOGO deals, the discount is applied to the least expensive item (meaning if you order a deluxe edition of one game and a standard edition of another, the standard edition will likely be half off).
The landing page for this promotion indicates that it’s a limited-time deal, but no further details on an end date were given. The terms and conditions state only that the “offer [is] good while supplies last.”
