Amazon’s buy-two-get-one-free sale is back. The retailer initially ran this promotion, which offers three select books, video games, DVDs or Blu-rays for the price of two, in mid-January. The deal includes even more titles to choose from this time around.
With over 1,000 items qualifying for the promotion, there’s bound to be something for everyone. Digging through those hundreds of games, books, and movies is overwhelming, but we’ve pulled out a few of our favorites.
You can catch up on Oscar-winning performances with Blu-rays of Once Upon A Time in...Hollywood, Judy, and Joker, which all took home acting trophies at the 2020 Academy Awards. A bunch of other great movies from 2019, albeit ones that didn’t get Oscar recognition, are included as well, like Spider-Man: Far From Home, Avengers: Endgame, Midsommar, and John Wick: Chapter 3 — Parabellum.
On the video games front, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch titles are all included. Some of the best games of last year, like Death Stranding and Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, are available, as well as old favorites like the remastered Disney Classic Games: Aladdin and the Lion King.
But the largest selection of available titles is from the books category, with just about every genre and format represented. Especially worth calling out are three Dungeons & Dragons sourcebooks: The Dungeon Master’s Guide, Monster Manual, and the new Eberron: Rising from the Last World adventure. Fans of Greta Gerwig’s Little Women adaptation can read (or re-read) Louisa May Alcott’s classic novel. Or you could pick up Celeste Ng’s Little Fires Everywhere before the Hulu adaptation airs next month.
While the previous version of this promotion was confusingly worded, Amazon clarified the language here. It now reads “Get 3 for the price of 2.” Essentially, if you add three eligible items to your Amazon cart, the lowest priced item will become free. Amazon hasn’t stated when its promotion will end, only that it’s a “limited time offer.”
Target is also running a similar buy-two-get-one-free “mix and match” deal. There is some overlap in the included titles, but Target’s deal also covers board games and music. The “mix and match” sale ends on Feb. 15.
