TCL’s 8-series is a top-of-the-line TV, with a 4K QLED display, Dolby Vision HDR and Dolby Atmos surround sound support, and built-in Roku Smart TV. Those features typically come with a $2,000 price tag, but Best Buy slashed that in half on Tuesday, offering the 65-inch model for just $999.99.
The 8-series is a step up from our recommendation for the best 4K TV under $1,000, the TCL 6-series. The 6-series model also supports Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos, though it doesn’t include the mini-LED backlighting that gives the 8-series its bright, dynamic color and deep, rich black levels. With this price cut, the TCL 8-series is hands down the best 4K TV under $1,000 right now.
Best Buy’s one-day-only deal on the 65-inch TCL 8 Series lasts until 11:59 p.m. CT on Tuesday, May 5. It’s available both online and in stores, but many Best Buy locations are only offering curbside pickup due to social distancing guidelines, so be sure to check what’s up with your local store.
