Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin comes to the Nintendo Switch and Steam for Windows PC on July 9. The new title allows you to battle with your monstie pals in turn-based combat while you unravel a mysterious story. For those looking to pre-order Wings of Ruin, there are several editions and amiibo to be aware of.

In this Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin pre-order guide, we’ll explain what comes with each edition of the game. We’ll show you what you get with the pre-order bonus, what you’ll receive in the deluxe edition, what items the collector’s edition contains, and what amiibo you can buy soon.


Pre-order bonus

The pre-order bonus for Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin is a special outfit for the character Ena. This costume gives her the appearance of one of the maidens from Monster Hunter Rise.

This outfit only changes her appearance and doesn’t alter the character in any way. Capcom does mention that this outfit may be made available after the game launches in promotional materials, but so far they haven’t confirmed how or where to purchase it.


Standard edition

The standard version of Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin doesn’t come with any specific features or benefits. Currently, the standard edition is available on the Nintendo eShop and Steam for $59.99.


Deluxe Edition

The deluxe edition of Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin comes with several outfit bonuses, hairstyles, and sticker sets. Currently, it can be purchased on Steam for $71.23.

Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin features three amiibo which will be available for purchase around launch. Each amiibo will retail for $19.99.

The three amiibo available soon are:

Collector’s edition

Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin also has a collector’s edition that comes with several of the items from the deluxe edition, an amiibo, and more. The collector’s edition game is a GameStop exclusive in the United States and EB Games in Canada. It retails for $99.99.

The collector’s edition comes with the following:

  • All the deluxe edition outfits, layered armor, hair styles, and sticker sets
  • The Razewing Ratha amiibo
  • A Wings of Ruin enamel pin
  • A sticker pack
