Halo Infinite is coming to Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and Windows PC on Dec. 8, 2021. In this Halo Infinite pre-order buying guide, we’ll show you where to buy the game and what the special edition differences you can expect are. We’ll also explain how to play this game on day one if you have Xbox Game Pass. Not only that, but this buying guide covers all the special bundles and custom Halo-themed controllers coming out soon.

Will Halo Infinite be on Game Pass?

If you subscribe to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, you can play Halo Infinite on its launch date. This version won’t come with any pre-order bonuses or extras. Xbox Game Pass Ultimate is $14.99 a month but new subscriptions start at $1 for the first month.


Halo Infinite pre-order bonus

If you pre-order the Halo Infinite’s standard edition at Amazon, Best Buy, or GameStop for $59.99, you will receive the Zeta Sky armor and weapon coating. This pre-order bonus also comes with a Chosen emblem and nameplate to further customize your character.

For those with a free My Best Buy account, the retailer is offering a $10 reward credit if you pre-order Halo Infinite from there.

You can pre-order the standard edition of Halo Infinite at other retailers like Target without any additional bonuses. You can also pre-order the Halo Infinite campaign on Steam since the multiplayer mode will be free-to-play.


Halo Infinite Steelbook

Several retailers are also offering a Halo Infinite Steelbook Edition. This version of the game comes with a full-color steelbook case that will hold your Xbox copy of the game.

At Amazon and Target, you’ll have to manually choose the Steelbook Edition when you pre-order Halo Infinite. At Best Buy, you can choose to add the steelbook for free.

Walmart has a special Halo Infinite Steelbook Edition for $59.99 that comes with the steelbook and a Mega Construx Halo Helmet set in one of three random colors. Both of these bonuses also come with the same pre-order cosmetic bonus that grants players the Zeta Sky armor and weapon coating plus the Chosen emblem and nameplate.

Xbox Series X Halo Infinite Limited Edition Bundle

In celebration of Halo’s 20th anniversary, Microsoft is releasing the Xbox Series X Halo Infinite Limited Edition Bundle. This customized version of the Xbox Series X console and controller comes with a space-themed design to honor the series, along with a copy of Halo Infinite, and the game’s pre-order bonuses.


Halo Infinite Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2

In addition to the custom controller that comes with the Xbox Series X Halo Infinite Limited Edition Bundle is a limited edition design Halo Infinite Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2.
