Throughout the many hours you’ll be playing Death Stranding, you’ll unlock plenty of new colors that modify the appearance of your accessories and your vehicles. But what about changing your suit color?

The short answer is in fact, yes, you can change Sam’s suit color. However, it takes a very long time before you can. It takes so long, in fact, that we’ve put the answer past a spoiler image to make sure that you don’t read something that you don’t really want to.

If you want to know when you can change suit colors, and you don't mind learning some (light) late-game realities, then scroll past the spoiler image below.

Upon beating the game, Sam will eventually return back to his private room. Once there, he’ll receive a ton of mail in his inbox, a handful of updates on what’s going on in this post-game scenario, and yes, he’ll unlock the ability to change Sam’s suit’s colors.

To change Sam’s suit colors, highlight the suit in a private room and select Examine Equipment Rack > Change Color Scheme > Standard-Issue Bridges Suit.

Unlike accessories and vehicles, the unlocked colors you get from the start are all related to Bridges staff roles. For instance, the red suit represents the medical team and the black suit is the kind Brides Security wears.
