Afternoon Delight (Fia) Visionary Lead – Deathloop walkthrough and tips

How to take out Fia and get the Havoc Slab

Find Fia’s four pictograms – Deathloop walkthrough and tips Image: Arkane Studios/Bethesda Softworks via Polygon
Jeffrey Parkin (he/him) has been writing video game guides for Polygon for almost seven years. He has learned to love just about every genre of game that exists.

Deathloop’s “Afternoon Delight” is our next Visionary Lead. After getting the Shift Slab from Charlie, it’s time to use everything we learned from him to find Fia.

Our Deathloop “Afternoon Delight” guide will help you find Fia’s Havoc Slab in Fristad Rock. We’ll give you advice on your Loadout, and then walk you through the search Fia’s Fortress, find the pictograms, disarm the reactor, steal Fia’s Havoc Slab, return to the machine, and scout the hideaway steps of this Lead.

Table of contents

Loadout

Make sure both your Nexus and Shift Slabs are equipped (and upgraded). Shift is a fun, fast way to navigate, and there’s a ton of opportunity for linking enemies with the Nexus Slab.

A silent PT-6 Spiker is necessary for this Lead — you’re going to need to be stealthy for a large part of it. Everything outside can be as noisy as you want, though. Charlie’s shotgun is good here, as is (one of) Harriet’s Fourpounders.

Afternoon Delight

Our Deathloop guides aren’t the only path through this district. You can take whatever path you want with as much stealth or combat as you see fit. Our guide focuses on the path(s) that lead to every clue and Lead, letting you pick up any useful weapons along the way, and generally avoiding combat.

For this Lead, we’re heading to Fristad Rock at noon to look for Fia Zborowska.

Search Fia’s Fortress

The key to opening the lovers’ hideout is a specific sequence of four Fia Zborowska original pictograms scattered within her studio.

Take the right path out of the tunnels, and deal with the four Eternalists. Head to the far right corner of this clearing, and go through the gap there — this is the same way we went while completing the “search the Fristad shore” step of the Space Invader Lead.

Over the hill, you’ll see Fia’s fortress in the distance. Take out the Eternalists on your way — they’re mostly paired off, so use your Nexus Slab here.

There are two large doors into the fortress. Head for the one on the left and hit the button to open it. Inside, examine the “Art” on the wall above the button. Hit the button to head inside.

Fia has an unstable reactor of some kind inside her base, and she’ll detonate it if you get spotted inside. We’ll have to focus on stealth for a while.

Also, we’re going to find the pictograms out of order — it’s just easier this way.

Find the second pictogram

It ‘adds color to tools and schema.’ Some kind of repair room?

Cut to the left, and hide behind the door as it opens. Peek out, and wait for the nearest Eternalist to light his cigarette. Sneak behind him and to the left. There’s another Eternalist here who you can execute silently. Hop up onto the walkway, and wait for the smoker to come back. Eliminate him as well.

Look up along the walk for a sensor to scramble and another two Eternalists to eliminate. Head back to the door you entered through.

To the right, there’s a pair of Eternalists painting something. Nexus them, and take them out. Scramble the sensor just past them, and head into the room below the sensor.

In the back corner, pick up the Reactor Scematics document and the Deconstruction Orders cassette. Check the cabinets in the middle of the room for an Empty Battery, and take it over to the Battery Station in the corner.

Once it’s fully charged, pick it up and head for the door. On your way out, the second Pictogram is on the wall on your left.

Find the third pictogram

It ‘wants for power.’ Bet it’s locked behind another fucking battery.

Head through the door and take a right.

Plug the charged battery into the socket outside the caged-off room, and hit the button to open the door. Inspect the “Art” on the wall to find the third pictogram.

Disarm the reactor

In the middle of the floor, there’s a hall that leads deeper into the fortress. Hop up to the walkway above it, and follow it into the reactor chamber.

Head over to the left first. There’s an Eternalist in the office-like room on the far side who has a radio — they need to be eliminated first so they don’t call for help. Take out the other Eternalist up on the walkway as well.

Clear out the remaining Eternalists on the floor, and then head to the backside of the reactor. Hack the antenna to open the panel. You need to cut the wires in order — blue, green, red, yellow (start in the bottom left and work around clockwise).

With the reactor shut down, getting spotted is less apocalyptic.

Find the first Pictogram

It’s ‘overshadowed by Fia’s shimmering masterpiece.’ Guess it’s behind something big and shiny.

Turn right from the reactor and climb onto the boxes . There’s another piece of “Art” on the wall right here — that’s the first Pictogram.

Steal Fia’s Havoc Slab

Fia’s sitting on the unstable Havoc Slab.

From the first Pictogram (the one behind the reactor), turn left and cross the room. Take the stairs up.

At the top of the stairs, scramble the sensor in the hallway, and step into the first room on your right. Pick up the Always Prepared document from the coffee table.

Carefully open the door and look to your right. Fia will be around the corner. Take her out and claim the Havoc Slab.

Before you leave this room, grab the Turning the Screw document.

Find the final Pictogram

It ‘marks Fia’s stage exit.’ Could be on a door?

Head back down to the floor of the reactor room. The final Pictogram is on the back of the door directly across from the reactor.

Return to the Machine

Armed with knowledge of all four pictograms, I’m ready to take on Charlie’s obnoxious machine.

Make your way back to the exit and into your bunker. Infuse the Havoc Slab.

You don’t have to do finish this Lead immediately, so feel free to repeat the above process with Fia to claim the Havoc Slab a few more times and get upgrades like Bullwark.

When you’re ready, head to Fristad Rock in the afternoon. Retrace your steps down to the shore and the lovers’ hideout.

The pictograms you found earlier are drawn on the blueprint to the left of the machine. It’s a little confusing because there are arrows going everywhere. Bring up the Leads menu to compare the pictures.

The solution is to hit the tapes that match the pictograms in order.

Scout the Hideaway

Open says me. Time to see what Charlie and Fia are getting up to inside.

The door behind the machine is unlocked now, so step though. Use the platforms and ramps to drop all the way to the bottom of the elevator shaft.

Follow the hall and duck under the containment door at the end. That will finish off “Afternoon Delight,” but there’s still more to explore here.

Two Birds, One Shot

I have everything I need to access Charlie and Fia’s romantic getaway … and kill them both.

Follow the walkway around to the right, and climb up the boxes to the floor above you. Cut across to the other side of the room, and take the ramp up another floor.

Head for the control room — it’s directly above where you entered. There’s a fancy Vorpat Trencher here next to a very enticing lever. Pulling that lever floods the hideout. Good to know.

The next level of puzzles.
