Deathloop guide: How to farm Trinkets

Deathloop Trinkets are a vital way to customize your build. And if you know where to look, you can repeatedly farm high-quality Trinkets. In this Deathloop guide, we’ll show you how to farm Trinkets thanks to an unauthorized experiment in Karl’s Bay that leads to the Portable Harvester and the Trinketer.

Karl’s Bay, morning

Forever Drunk, Unethical Waffling

Head to Karl’s Bay in the morning, and take the left exit. Cross the street to the building with the Forever Young Drunk mural on the outer wall.

Take care of the graffiti artist outside the building, head inside, and take care of the Eternalist to the right. Loot the tables for ammo and you’ll find the Unethical Waffling cassette, which gives you the Discovery that some scientists are planning to run an unauthorized experiment in the afternoon. That’s your cue to head for the exit.

Portable Harvester, Trinketer

Return to Karl’s Bay in the afternoon. The building you explored earlier has exploded in the time since. But the unlucky scientists left behind a Portable Harvester, a device for collecting Residuum. With the tool in hand, sweep through Karl’s Bay, pointing it at Residuum-enhanced objects to harvest Residuum.

No matter how much Residuum you collect, you’ll get three Trinkets later. The quality of the Trinkets varies depending on the amount you harvest.

So, for example, barely getting the needle to the white area will produce three Crude Character Trinkets. But maxing the meter out will result in a trio of Exemplar (purple) Character Trinkets. (The cost to infuse the trinkets so that you can bring them with you into subsequent runs also, unfortunately, increases).

Head back to the bombed out building, and insert the Portable Harvester into the Trinketer. The machine will make a loud buzzing sound that attracts a bunch of Eternalists, regardless of how many you dispatched earlier, so be prepared to fight before you start the machine up.

When the Trinketer machine stops, collect your Trinkets.
