Destiny 2: Beyond Light guide - Splintered Title

Conquer Europa for the Beyond Light Seal and earn the Splintered title

Eramis using Stasis in Beyond Light Image: Bungie

Destiny 2: Beyond Light is Bungie’s latest expansion for its looter-shooter. And like with all expansions and seasons since the Forsaken era, Beyond Light comes with a new Seal and Title: Splintered.

The Beyond Light Seal awards the Splintered title on completion — likely named because of the icy nature of the new Darkness power, Stasis.

The Beyond Light Seal says you need to unlock 45 Triumphs, but that counts Triumphs that have half-steps to them as well. In reality, you just need to unlock about 11. Here’s how to unlock each of the Beyond Light Seal’s 11 Triumphs to unlock the Splintered Title for your character.

Note: As of Nov. 20, players cannot acquire Splintered. Some of the Triumphs are still time gated while others are still a mystery. We’ll update this guide as more Triumphs become available.

Destiny 2: Beyond Light Seal Triumphs

Splintered has a bunch of associated Triumphs. Some of these are currently available in game while you’ll need to wait for others.

Currently available Triumphs

You can unlock these associated Splintered Triumphs in their entirety as of Nov. 20.

  • Solo Lost Sector Mastery. Complete any Europa Lost Sector on Master difficulty without a fireteam
  • Fallen Brig Brigade. As a fireteam, defeat Fallen Brigs as part of the “Crux Convergence” Public Event

Currently unavailable Triumphs

You can’t complete these Triumphs yet. Either all of it or some of it still isn’t out yet. We expect that most of these Triumphs should be available by early February.

  • Studying Darkness. Find all Entropic Shards scattered across Europa
  • Europan Collector. Complete the Europan Collector badge
  • Master of the Hunt. Elective-difficulty hunt complete
  • Masterful Saboteur. Complete all Tier 3 Sabotage quests from Variks
  • Training Complete. Complete all Exo Challenges
  • Born in Darkness. Complete “Born in Darkness” missions
  • Reuniting the Eventide Rookery. Recover all the penguin toys on Europa
  • Salvage of the Past. Find all dead Exo collectibles hidden across Europa
  • Secret Triumph. This objective is hidden in-game.

Notable or difficult Triumphs

Many of the Splintered Triumphs are pretty straightforward — you read them and know exactly what you need to do. But others require you to find something hidden or deal with a particularly difficult task. We can help with those.

Studying Darkness - Find all Entropic Shards scattered across Europa

Studying Darkness is currently unavailable, but you can collect eight out of nine shards right now, so we’ll include some tips anyway. This Triumph is actually two-fold, as you need to find these suckers and use the Salvation’s Grip Exotic to destroy them.

You can find most of the Entropic Shards in our guide — which we’re still working on in the expansion’s early days.

And if you still don’t have Salvation’s Grip, we have a guide for the Stasis Prototype quest too.

We’ll add more notable Triumphs here as they become available over the next few months.
