Calus is the final challenge in the Leviathan raid. Unlike some of the other fights on Prestige, Calus only has one major mechanics change. However, this change is far more prominent than any other Prestige fight. If you are unclear how to defeat Calus on normal mode, we’ve got you covered in our guide.
Here’s how to take down the final boss of Destiny 2’s biggest challenge.
Punch swapping

The first phase of the fight will proceed as normal. Kill all the enemies until Calus teleports you into the shadow realm. Once inside, split your team up into groups of three once again. When three remain in the shadow realm and three have returned to the throne room, the fight will start to change.
One of your throne room players will no longer sit around and defend the area. Instead, they will be the puncher while the other two players just kill enemies. When the three shadow realm allies call out their symbols, the single puncher will run up and punch the odd Psion out. Instead of running back to safety, the punching player will then be teleported into the shadow realm. One of the shadow realm’s players will randomly be teleported out to compensate.
Navigating the shadow realm

If you are rotated into the shadow realm, you will be dropped at the very back. This means you’ll have to slide your way down and regroup with your teammates. Luckily, the gravity seems to have been turned up in this fight. If you go over a ramp, you should come back down on the other side. If you come across a hole the second time around, you can jump over it by tapping lightly.
Once you’re back with your allies, start shooting Psions and projections. When it comes time to call the symbol, always have the newest shadow realm member call last.
Back in the throne room

If you are randomly teleported out of the shadow realm, you’ll find yourself in a war zone. While you don’t have much time before you need to go punch, try shooting a rocket or throwing a grenade at the Centurions in the room. This will be a great help to your throne room allies.
When you are ported in, you will be dropped next to the giant door that you passed through to enter the fight. While you try to help your allies, run forward up the stairs and hide behind the wall. Listen carefully for the calls and then rush to punch your Psion. You will be ported back into the shadow realm and someone else will be teleported out. If you are the last shadow realm player teleported out, you will need to help your allies clear the room and lower Calus’ shield.
Repeat this process, shoot skulls and fight Calus. Eventually, after about two rounds, Calus will go down. Congratulations Guardian, you just beat the Prestige version of the Leviathan raid.
