Destiny 2 guide: Endless Vale map

So much red.

In the Destiny 2 beta, the Endless Vale map is available for players to play Quick Play multiplayer on. Currently, it is the only map available and the only mode played on it is the familiar Destiny mode of Control.

The map itself takes place on Nessus, one of Destiny 2’s four new worlds. On Nessus, players will meet with Cayde-6, the Hunter vanguard, and help him take down the Vex-controlled world.

However, for the beta purposes, we are able to see Nessus through the Inverted Spire strike and the Endless Vale. The map is essentially symmetrical, placing points A, B and C in a triangle shape. Between points A and C there is a cave, allowing players to jump over to the other side quickly.

All roads eventually lead to the courtyard, which has plenty of nooks and crannies for enemies and allies alike to hide in. There is also a large basin that players can use to drop into the cave. Point B is in a small, elevated arena, quickly accessible by two winged flanks that can be reached from point A or B.

As would be expected with any Control map, the Endless Vale offers a very circular gameplay loop. Run in a figure-eight pattern from A to C to B to A and then back to C. Capture the points and defeat the enemies in your way.

Try not to get too distracted by the gorgeous foliage.
