One of the delightful Easter eggs at the Tower is the super-bouncy giant gray ball. It doesn’t serve any real purpose, but it’s always fun to see your fellow Guardians become hyperactive puppies when they notice it. In this guide, we’ll show you how to spawn the giant ball and kicking four smaller balls into their goals.
A quick note on directions first: We’re going to base all directions on facing the Traveler. The Cryptarch and the Gunsmith are, therefore, on the right. The Postmaster and Tess Everis are on the left.
Ball spawn locations

To get the giant ball, you have to interact with four smaller, colored balls. Those always spawn in the same place — on some crates above and to the left of where you spawn. Run up the slanted wall next to the Postmaster to get to it.
There’s only one kick speed for these balls. They’ll just shoot off directly away from you no matter how gently you hit them, so take your time and line up your shots carefully. Think of it less as getting it to the destination and more as a series of small steps.
If a ball falls over the railing, it’ll respawn back at the beginning. You won’t have to restart this entire process, though. The ball that spawns will be the same color as the ball that fell. (Except for the giant ball at the end.)
Purple ball goal

Kick the purple ball to the right of where it spawns. Keep it on the same level as where it starts. Follow the walkway as it turns to the left toward the Traveler. At the end of the walkway, there’s a gray circle on the ground. Kick the ball into the circle.
If you accidentally kick it down to the lower level, all is not lost. There’re some stairs up right next to the Cryptarch.
Green ball goal

Kick the green ball straight ahead and down to the lower level. Just past the little depression where Tess Everis and the Postmaster hang out, there’s a narrow stairwell with a guard at the bottom. Kick the ball down the stairs.
This one can be a little tricky. Getting the ball lined up with the stairwell is hard. Getting the ball past all of your fellow players who think you’re playing a game is harder.
Black ball goal

The black ball has the shortest distance to go, but is one of the hardest to get started. You have to get it up one level to the area above and behind where it spawns. Once you do, it just has to go down the left side to the very back of the walkway. There’s a big red flag and a couple of guards marking the area. Just kick the ball straight off the back.
Blue ball goal

The final ball has to go all the way forward to the catwalk that stretches between Commander Zavala and Lord Shaxx. There’s a little section in the middle of the catwalk that sticks out. That’s your target.
The best way we found is to take it to the right on the upper level to avoid all the other (unhelpful) Guardians, then only drop down when you have to.
Finding the giant ball

Once you deliver the blue ball, the sky will fill with fireworks and the gigantic gray ball will spawn. It’s bigger than the rest, and it’s way lighter, so it floats a lot.
Run back to the spawn point by the crates and enjoy it! Well, enjoy it while it lasts because some overexcited Guardian is going to knock it over the railing in a second, and you’ll have to start from scratch.
