Exodus is Destiny 2’s second mission. After your fall from the Tower, you’ll wake up wounded and powerless. There’s nothing for you to do here but walk forward and then to the right. There’s nothing to find or pick up in this area — your job is just to walk. Well, limp. Just keep limping along until you see a detachment of Legionaries and a Centurion marching across a bridge ahead of you.
The Last City (Two days after the attack)

Keep walking forward — the Cabal won’t notice or bother you — until you find your Ghost. He’ll come over and heal you up — to the point where you can wield your ammo-less gun, and you can continue on.

Keep following the tunnel forward. You’ll have to duck to get through a few spots, but there’re no turns to get lost in. Just go forward until you emerge.
City Outskirts (Four days after the attack)

The falcon on the rock outside of the tunnel is going to be your tour guide for the next few minutes. Follow him forward and to the right until you can drop down into a Guardian campsite. Things didn’t go well for the Guardians here, but your HUD will lead you to a Sorrow MG2 SMG energy weapon and some ammo for your busted Traveler’s Chosen sidearm.

And that’s really convenient, because as soon as you walk forward, you’re going to be jumped by a pack of honored war beasts. That’s a fancy name for a red, alien wolf-thing that is trying to eat you. You’ve got ammo now and a couple guns to choose from. They’ll each take a few shots to down, but don’t waste too much ammo on them. You can drop them with one melee hit — which saves bullets (even though you have plenty), is faster and is much more satisfying.
Keep punching and shooting until they’re all dead, then follow the falcon up along the narrow path ahead and, again, to the right.
Twilight Gap (One week after the attack)
After the cut to black, keep heading forward and generally right. The falcon is here again, so just keep following it.

When you come to a ledge that you have to drop off of, you’re about to have a fight. There’s a large rock in the middle of the open area you’ll find yourself in. As you approach it, another pack of war beasts and a Cabal Legionary will show up. Punch the war beasts and then shoot the Legionary in the face, using the brush and rocks on the sides of the area for cover if you need it.

Once they’re all cleaned up, continue forward. When you crest the hill on the far side, you’ll come to another ledge. Drop to the platform under you on the right side, then continue right. You’ll have to cross a fallen log (crouching helped us manage this, if you’re having trouble) to keep following the path.

Just after the log, you’ll have to jump across the gap to get to the other side. As you round the next corner on your right, you’ll see the falcon again. When you try to jump over to it, you’ll fall — there’s no way to make this jump. It’s part of the story.
You’ll be treated to a pair of cutscenes. In the first, you’ll meet Hawthorne and get formally introduced to Louis. In the second, you’ll see a conversation between Dominus Ghaul and one of his coconspirators — and learn the fate of a friend from the Tower.

Once those have played, you’ll find yourself at The Farm, Destiny 2’s hub. It’s in the European Dead Zone near something called a Shard of the Traveler — a piece that broke off of the Traveller during the Collapse. Since it’s this game’s version of the Tower, you’ll be back here a lot, but there’s a little more you have to do before it becomes fully functional.
