If you played Destiny, you may be familiar with Xur, the weekly Exotic item merchant. In Destiny 2, he’s back, and now appears all over the map. This week, he’s in the EDZ. You can find Xur hanging out on a small cliff next to a Fallen Ketch.

Xur’s inventory this week consists of the following:
- Telesto, Exotic fusion rifle: 29 Legendary Shards
- Sealed Ahamkara Grasps, Exotic Hunter legs: 23 Legendary Shards
- Actium War Rig, Exotic Titan gauntlets: 23 Legendary Shards
- Claws of Ahamkara, Exotic Warlock chest: 23 Legendary Shards
- Isochronal Engram: 97 Legendary Shards
Xur’s inventory to caps out at 581 if you’re at 600 power — one Light above your Collection. He also offers specific rolls on each armor piece each week, giving out different perks for the same pieces. We’ve highlighted any great rolls below.
TELESTO
Telesto is a returning exotic from Destiny, added back in during Curse of Osiris. This fan-favorite fusion rifle has two perks that make it special. First is Unplanned Reprive. When you fire Telesto, the fusion rifle particles attach to the enemy and explode at a latter time. Second, Harbinger’s Pulse causes multikills to reload your kinetic and energy weapons.
Telesto is easily one of the most fun weapons to use in Destiny 2. It’s very powerful in strikes and public events for clearing large groups of enemies or dealing with a single threat. But more importantly, Telesto simply feels exotic every time you fire it. Don’t pass up the opportunity to add Telesto to your armory.
SEALED AHAMKARA GRASPS
The Sealed Ahamkara Grasps are new to Destiny 2 with Warmind. Their signature perk is Nightmare Fuel, which causes you to completely reload your equipped weapon anytime you deal melee damage. This is a pretty powerful perk, especially in clutch situations. Like all things Hunter, there are always better options. However, these are certainly good enough to deserve your shards.
This week’s roll: Mobility and low resilience, with a choice between mobility and resilience. Tier one gives a choice between fusion rifle loader, hand cannon loader and impact induction — reduced grenade cooldown after dealing melee damage. Tier two offers shotgun scavenger and heavy ammo finder. This is a decent roll if you like playing up close — which you probably do if you’re using this exotic.
ACTIUM WAR RIG
The Actium War Rig is an extremely powerful Titan chest piece. Its exotic perk, Auto-loading Link, will constantly reload your auto rifles as you fire them. If you’re a fan of auto rifles — especially ones with larger than average magazines — this is an incredible exotic. When pairing Actium War Rig with the Sweet Business exotic auto rifle, the clip will refill with 10 rounds every few seconds, allowing the minigun to truly feel unique. If you ever use auto rifles, this chest piece is an absolute must-have.
This week’s roll: Medium resilience, low recovery and low mobility with a choice between resilience and recovery. Tier one offers a choice between unflinching bow aim, unflinching fusion rifle aim and unflinching sniper rifle aim. Tier two gives the choice between scout rifle reserves and special ammo finder. The perks on this are, unfortunately, terrible. However, the stats are great.
CLAWS OF AHAMKARA
The Claws of Ahamkara are new Warlock gauntlets added in Destiny 2’s Warmind expansion. Their exotic perk, The Whispers, grants any Warlock that wears these gloves an extra melee charge. Warlocks have some pretty powerful melee abilities, so these are great gloves if you love getting up close with your enemies.
This week’s roll: Low mobility with medium recovery, and a choice between mobility and resilience. Tier one gives a choice between fusion rifle loader, hand cannon loader and impact induction — reduced grenade cooldown after dealing melee damage. Tier two offers shotgun scavenger and heavy ammo finder. This is a really great Warlock roll this week, so don’t miss out on it.
