If you played Destiny, you may be familiar with Xur, the weekly Exotic item merchant. In Destiny 2, he’s back, and he now appears all over the map. This week, you can find Xur hanging out in the Tower Hangar on the back stairs.

Xur’s inventory this week consists of the following:
- Vigilance Wing, Kinetic pulse rifle: 29 Legendary Shards
- St0mp-EE5, Hunter boots: 23 Legendary Shards
- One-Eyed Mask, Titan helmet: 23 Legendary Shards
- Chromatic Fire, Warlock chest: 23 Legendary Shards
- Fated Engram: 97 Legendary Shards
- Invitation quest: 9 Legendary Shards
Xur’s inventory caps out at 731 if you’re 750. He also offers specific rolls on each armor piece each week, giving out different perks for the same pieces.
Vigilance Wing
Vigilance Wing is one of Destiny 2’s coolest and most unique exotic weapons. It’s a pulse rifle that, due to the exotic perk Harsh Truths, fires in five-round bursts instead of three. Harsh Truths also provides healing when an ally dies.
Vigilance Wing can do very high damage very quickly, especially if you hit an enemy in their critical spot.
The second exotic perk, Last Stand, gives better stability and handling when you are the last living member of your fireteam. Vigilance Wing is a PvP exotic through and through. That isn’t to say that you can’t use it in PvE, but it’s designed for action against human players.
After Forsaken and the time to kill adjustments, Vigilance Wing has lost some serious power when compared to other tools in the Crucible. However, it’s still a fun gun to use, and remains unique.
St0mp-EE5
St0mp-EE5 is a powerful traversal exotic for Hunters. The exotic perk, Hydraulic Boosters, increases slide and sprint speed, as well as increases jump height. This exotic is very strong in myriad situations. In PvE content, it can be great for getting where you need to go quickly. In PvP, it’s a perfect exotic to disorient foes and get to unexpected areas of the map quickly.
This week’s roll:
Slot 1: Auto rifle dexterity, fusion rifle dexterity, perpetuation
Slot 2: Scout rifle scavenger, sidearm scavenger
One-Eyed Mask
One-Eyed Mask is a Titan helmet from Forsaken, and it’s one of the best PvP Exotics in the game. Its Exotic perk is Vengeance. When enemies deal damage to you, you’ll mark them, allowing you to track them through walls. Killing marked targets gives you an Overshield and increases damage for a short time. This helmet is incredible; you need to have it if you have or will ever have a Titan.
This week’s roll:
Slot 1: Bow targeting, hand cannon targeting, remote connection
Slot 2: Fusion rifle reserves, sniper rifle reserves
Chromatic Fire
Chromatic Fire is a new Warlock exotic added in Forsaken. Its exotic perk is Crystalline Transistor. Getting precision kills with your Kinetic weapon creates an elemental explosion — like the Dragonfly perk — based on your current subclass. This perk is useful if you’re fighting large groups of enemies at once, or need extra elemental help against enemies.
This week’s roll:
Slot 1: Unflinching auto rifle aim, unflinching hand cannon aim, unflinching Kinetic aim
Slot 2: Sidearm reserves, submachine gun reserves
Invitation
If you haven’t completed the Invitation quest yet, Xur is still offering it for nine Legendary Shards.
