Destiny 2 Xur location and items, July 26-30

Head to the EDZ for some Exotics

Destiny 2 Xur

If you played Destiny, you may be familiar with Xur, the weekly Exotic item merchant. In Destiny 2, he’s back, and he now appears all over the map. This week, you can find Xur in the EDZ, hanging out on a bluff near the Fallen Ketch in the Winding Cove.

Xur’s inventory this week consists of the following:

  • DARCI, trace rifle: 29 Legendary Shards
  • Wormhusk Crown, Hunter helmet: 23 Legendary Shards
  • Armamentarium, Titan chest: 23 Legendary Shards
  • Vesper of Radius, Warlock chest: 23 Legendary Shards
  • Isochronal Engram: 97 Legendary Shards
  • Invitation quest: 9 Legendary Shards

Xur’s inventory caps out at 731 if you’re 750. He also offers specific rolls on each armor piece each week, giving out different perks for the same pieces.

DARCI

The exotic perk on DARCI is Personal Assistant, which causes the gun to highlight critical information about the target when you’re aiming down the site. While this bonus is active, DARCI will have better lock-on and deal more precision damage. DARCI used to be pretty bad, but buffs over the summer actually made it pretty powerful.

With the recent Whisper of the Worm nerfs, DARCI is about to become one of the most powerful boss killing weapons in Destiny 2. If you don’t have DARCI yet, pick it up.

Wormhusk Crown

Wormhusk Crown is one of the campaign Exotics from Warmind, and you can earn the helmet from completing the campaign. Or you can buy it from Xur this week. The Exotic perk is Burning Souls, which heals you after dodging.

This is a powerful helmet in the Crucible, so if you’re a PvP player you should pick this up.

This week’s roll:

Slot 1: Heavy Lifting, Enhanced Ashes to Assets, Machine Gun Targeting

Slot 2: Sword Reserves, Machine Gun Reserves

Armamentarium

The Armamentarium is a pretty simple chest piece. Its exotic perk is And Another Thing, which causes you to gain another grenade charge regardless of the subclass you’re using. This perk is great — or it would be if Striker Titans didn’t already have two grenades. The other Titan subclasses have far less powerful grenades and better exotics in Hallowfire Heart and Mask of the Quiet One.

However, Armamentarium is still a great chest piece to grab if you don’t like those other exotics or if you want to run the other Striker tree. If you like Titans and grenades, you should at least pick this one up.

This week’s roll:

Slot 1: Unflinching Rifle Aim, Unflinching Large Arms, Enhanced Unflinching Bow Aim

Slot 2: Bow Reserves, Hand Cannon Reserves

Vesper of Radius

The Vesper of Radius is a new Warlock chest piece from Curse of Osiris. Its exotic perk, Planetary Torrent, causes a shockwave to explode out from you when you place your Rift. Your Rift also recharges far faster when you’re surrounded by enemies.

All of this sounds pretty cool, but unfortunately Vesper of Radius is overshadowed by so many other Warlock exotics that it’s very difficult to see a situation where Vesper of Radius is your best chest piece. Unless you’re a collector, skip it.

This week’s roll:

Slot 1: Unflinching Scout Rifle Aim, Unflinching Sniper Aim, Unflinching Power Aim

Slot 2: Auto Rifle Reserves, Sidearm Reserves

Invitation

If you haven’t completed the Invitation quest yet, Xur is still offering it for nine Legendary Shards.
