If you played Destiny, you may be familiar with Xur, the weekly Exotic item merchant. In Destiny 2, he’s back, and he now appears all over the map. This week, you can find Xur on Titan, hanging out in a small building east of The Rig, taking shelter from the rain.

Xur’s inventory this week consists of the following:
- Telesto, fusion rifle: 29 Legendary Shards
- Aeon Swift, Hunter arms: 23 Legendary Shards
- Stronghold, Titan arms: 23 Legendary Shards
- Verity’s Brow, Warlock helmet: 23 Legendary Shards
- Isochronal Engram: 97 Legendary Shards
- Invitation quest: 9 Legendary Shards
Xur’s inventory caps out at 731 if you’re 750. He also offers specific rolls on each armor piece each week, giving out different perks for the same pieces.
Telesto
Telesto is a returning exotic from Destiny, added back in during Curse of Osiris. This fan-favorite fusion rifle has two perks that make it special. First is Unplanned Reprieve. When you fire Telesto, the fusion rifle particles attach to the enemy and explode at a latter time. Second, Harbinger’s Pulse causes multikills to reload your kinetic and energy weapons.
Telesto is easily one of the most fun weapons to use in Destiny 2. It’s very powerful in strikes and public events for clearing large groups of enemies or dealing with a single threat. But more importantly, Telesto simply feels exotic every time you fire it. Don’t pass up the opportunity to add Telesto to your armory.
Aeon Swift
Aeon Swift is a Hunter gauntlet from Curse of Osiris. Its exotic perk, Aeon Energy, will grant energy to other Aeon item users in your fireteam. You’ll share ability energy with other classes, and get back dodge energy if they use the perk for you.
These gauntlets, and their matching sets for other classes, are actual garbage. There is no reason to ever use these. Do not buy them, especially since you can get them by just finishing the Osiris campaign as a Hunter. They’re terrible, please don’t give Xur the satisfaction of a sale this week.
This week’s roll:
Slot 1: Impact Induction, Enhanced Hand Cannon Loader, Machine Gun Loader
Slot 2: Rocket Launcher Scavenger, Special Ammo Finder
Stronghold
These gauntlets have the exotic perk Clenched Fist, where guarding with with a sword increases movement speed and doesn’t drain sword ammo. Well timed guards that block damage also heal the Titan. Until swords are useful, these Titan gloves aren’t really worth using. Pick them up for your collection if you’re a Titan main, but don’t expect to use them anytime soon.
This week’s roll:
Slot 1: Sidearm Loader, Light Arms Loader, Rifle Loader
Slot 2: Linear Fusion Rifle Scavenger, Shotgun Scavenger
Verity’s Brow
This Warlock helmet is fairly mediocre. Its exotic perk is The Fourth Magic, which causes your energy weapon kills to regenerate grenade energy for you and your nearby allies. This perk is fine and always useful. However, when compared to many of the other Warlock exotics out there — Crown of Tempests, Geomag Stabilizers, Chromatic Fire, etc. — there is almost no situation where this helmet is worth using.
This week’s roll:
Slot 1: Scout Rifle Targeting, Heavy Lifting, Energy Weapon Targeting
Slot 2: Fusion Rifle Reserves, Grenade Launcher Reserves
Invitation
If you haven’t completed the Invitation quest yet, Xur is still offering it for nine Legendary Shards.
